2. Setup and Preparation
2.1 Package Contents
Before beginning, ensure all components are present in the package:
- TEEROK T18S GPS Drone
- Remote Controller
- Flight Batteries (x2)
- USB Charging Cable
- Spare Propellers
- Screwdriver
- User Manual (this document)
- Carrying Case
2.2 Charging the Batteries
Fully charge both the drone flight batteries and the remote controller battery before first use. Use the provided USB charging cable. A full charge typically takes 3-4 hours per drone battery.

Figure 2.1: The TEEROK T18S drone batteries feature a USB 3.0 charging port, allowing for convenient and efficient recharging. Each battery provides approximately 22 minutes of flight time, totaling 44 minutes with two batteries.
2.3 Drone Assembly
Unfold the drone arms carefully. Ensure propellers are securely attached and free from damage. If replacement is needed, match the propellers to their corresponding motor arms (indicated by markings).
2.4 Remote Controller Setup
Install batteries into the remote controller. Extend the phone holder and securely mount your smartphone. Download the official TEEROK drone application from your device's app store. Power on the remote controller.
3. Operation Guide
3.1 Pre-Flight Checklist
- Ensure drone and remote controller batteries are fully charged.
- Verify propellers are correctly installed and undamaged.
- Choose an open, clear area free from obstacles, people, and electromagnetic interference.
- Check weather conditions; avoid flying in strong winds or rain.
- Ensure your smartphone is connected to the drone's 5G WiFi network.
3.2 Drone Pairing and Calibration
Power on the drone, then the remote controller. The drone and controller will automatically attempt to pair. Once paired, perform GPS and compass calibration as instructed by the drone's app. This is crucial for stable flight and accurate GPS functions.

Figure 3.1: The Intelligent GPS Control System ensures flight safety by providing features such as automatic return in case of signal loss or low battery, guiding the drone back to its take-off point.
3.3 Basic Flight Controls
Familiarize yourself with the remote controller's joysticks and buttons. The left joystick typically controls altitude and yaw (rotation), while the right joystick controls forward/backward and left/right movement. Use the one-key take-off/landing button for easy ascent and descent.
3.4 Camera Operation
The TEEROK T18S features a 4K motorised adjustable camera. Use the dedicated buttons on the remote controller or the app interface to capture photos and record videos. The camera angle can be adjusted remotely during flight for optimal framing.

Figure 3.2: The drone's 4K motorised adjustable camera allows for dynamic angle changes during flight, enabling users to capture high-resolution photos and videos with ease through electronic intelligent control.
3.5 Intelligent Flight Modes
The T18S drone offers several intelligent flight modes for enhanced user experience:
- Auto Return: The drone automatically returns to its take-off point when the battery is low, signal is lost, or the return-to-home button is pressed.
- Follow Me: The drone will automatically follow the remote controller or the designated subject, keeping it in the frame.
- Custom Flight Path: Draw a desired flight path on the app's map interface, and the drone will follow it autonomously.
- Point of Interest: The drone will circle a designated point of interest, capturing footage from all angles.
- Optical Flow Positioning: Provides stable hovering indoors or in areas without GPS signal.

Figure 3.3: Advanced flight modes such as Custom Flight Path, Point of Interest, and Follow Me enhance the drone's versatility, allowing for creative and automated flight patterns.
3.6 5G WiFi FPV Transmission
The drone utilizes 5G WiFi for real-time FPV (First Person View) transmission to your smartphone. This provides a clear and stable video feed. The image transmission distance can reach up to 300 meters, while the control range extends up to 500 meters.

Figure 3.4: The 5GHz WiFi transmission system provides a longer image transmission distance of up to 300 meters, complementing the drone's 500-meter control range for extended flight operations.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the drone body with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure the camera lens is free from dust and smudges for optimal image quality. Avoid using liquid cleaners directly on electronic components.
4.2 Propeller Inspection and Replacement
Before each flight, inspect all propellers for cracks, bends, or chips. Damaged propellers can affect flight stability and safety. Replace any damaged propellers immediately using the provided spare parts and screwdriver, ensuring correct orientation (A/B markings).
4.3 Battery Care and Storage
To prolong battery life:
- Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- For long-term storage, charge batteries to approximately 50-60% capacity.
- If a battery shows signs of swelling or damage, discontinue use immediately and dispose of it properly.
5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Drone does not respond to remote controller. | Not paired; low battery on drone or remote; interference. | Re-pair drone and remote. Charge batteries. Move to an area with less interference. |
| Unstable flight or drifting. | Improper calibration; damaged propellers; strong winds. | Perform GPS and compass calibration. Replace damaged propellers. Avoid flying in strong winds. |
| No FPV video feed on smartphone. | Incorrect WiFi connection; app issue; drone not powered on. | Ensure phone is connected to drone's 5G WiFi. Restart app and drone. |
| Drone returns automatically during flight. | Low battery; signal loss. | This is a safety feature. Ensure batteries are fully charged before flight. Maintain line of sight and stay within control range. |
| Poor image/video quality. | Dirty camera lens; insufficient lighting; vibration. | Clean camera lens. Fly in well-lit conditions. Check for loose parts causing vibration. |
