1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the TEMPWARE TWFP10 Electric Fireplace Heater. This manual provides important information for the safe operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new heater. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

• Read all instructions before using this heater.
• This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
• To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• This heater has a Tip-over Protection feature. If the heater is accidentally tipped over, it will automatically shut off.
• This heater has an Overheat Protection sensor. If the device gets too hot, it will automatically shut off. Unplug the power cord, wait 3-5 minutes, and turn it back on.

4. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or return if necessary.
2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clear space around the heater from walls, furniture, curtains, and other combustible materials. Do not place it directly under a power outlet.
3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a 120VAC, 60Hz grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is not overloaded with other appliances.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

• To turn on, rotate the Heating Level Control Switch to your desired setting (1000W or 1500W) or to the flame-only mode.
• To turn off, rotate the Heating Level Control Switch to the 'OFF' position.

5.2 Adjusting Heat Settings

The heater offers four operational modes:

• 1500W (High Heat): Provides maximum heat output.
• 1000W (Low Heat): Provides moderate heat output.
• Flame Only: Activates the 3D flame effect without heat, for ambiance.
• Heating Only: Provides heat without the flame effect.

Use the Heating Level Control Switch to select the desired mode.

5.3 Setting Temperature

Use the Temperature Control Knob to adjust the desired room temperature. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

• Cleaning: Always unplug the heater from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
• Cord Care: Periodically inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. Do not use the heater if the cord is damaged.
