1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Sulion Rainbow DC Ceiling Fan. This fan combines efficient air circulation with integrated LED lighting and convenient remote control operation. Designed for small rooms, it offers versatile features including reversible blades, natural wind mode, a timer, and summer/winter functionality for year-round comfort.

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before installation and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.

• Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply is disconnected at the circuit breaker before installation or maintenance. All wiring must be performed by a qualified electrician and comply with local electrical codes.
• Mounting: The mounting structure must be capable of supporting the fan's weight (approximately 5 kg) plus the dynamic load of the fan in operation. Do not mount the fan directly to drywall or plasterboard.
• Blade Clearance: Ensure there is adequate clearance between the fan blades and any obstacles (walls, furniture) to prevent injury or damage. A minimum clearance of 2.3 meters (7.5 feet) from the floor to the bottom of the blades is recommended.
• Remote Control: Keep the remote control out of reach of children. Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Cleaning: Always disconnect power before cleaning the fan. Use a soft, damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Operation: Do not insert any objects into the path of the rotating blades.

4. Setup and Installation

Installation should be performed by a qualified professional. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before beginning.

1. Prepare the Mounting Location: Ensure the ceiling joist or support structure can safely hold the fan's weight (approx. 5 kg). Install a suitable electrical junction box rated for fan support.
2. Install Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the junction box and ceiling structure using appropriate screws and washers.
3. Assemble Downrod and Canopy: Feed the fan wires through the downrod. Attach the downrod to the fan motor housing and secure the canopy over the downrod.
4. Hang the Fan: Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it onto the mounting bracket hook (if available) or have someone assist in holding it while wiring.
5. Wire the Fan: Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram provided in the separate installation guide (not included in this manual). Ensure all connections are secure and insulated with wire nuts.
6. Secure the Fan: Once wired, carefully lift the fan and align the canopy with the mounting bracket, securing it with the provided screws.
7. Attach Blades: Attach the fan blades to the motor housing. The blades are reversible, offering a white or light wood finish. Choose your preferred side before attaching.

5. Operating Instructions

The Sulion Rainbow fan is operated via the included remote control. Install 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control before use.

5.1 Remote Control Functions

• Power ON/OFF: Turns the fan and light on or off.
• Fan Speed Control: Adjusts fan speed through 6 levels (80-200 RPM).
• Light ON/OFF: Toggles the LED light on or off.
• Light Color Temperature (CCT) Adjustment: Cycles through 3000K (Warm White), 4000K (Neutral White), and 5000K (Cool White). The fan has a light memory function, retaining the last setting.
• Natural Wind Mode: Simulates a natural breeze by varying fan speed.
• Timer Function: Sets the fan to turn off automatically after a preset time (e.g., 1H, 2H, 4H, 8H).
• Summer/Winter Mode (Reverse Function): Changes the direction of blade rotation.
  • Summer Mode (Counter-clockwise): Creates a downward airflow, producing a cooling effect.
  • Winter Mode (Clockwise): Creates an upward airflow, recirculating warm air trapped near the ceiling.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your fan.

• Cleaning: To prevent dust buildup, clean the fan periodically. Always turn off the power at the circuit breaker before cleaning. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the blades and motor housing. Do not use water directly on the fan or harsh chemical cleaners.
• Tightening Screws: Periodically check all screws on the fan and mounting hardware to ensure they are tight. Loose connections can cause wobbling or noise.
• Blade Balance: If the fan wobbles, ensure all blades are securely attached and that their weights are evenly distributed. A blade balancing kit (not included) may be used if necessary.
