5. Getting Started (Setup)

5.1 Charging Batteries

The HYPER GO H16BM includes 2S and 3S LiPo batteries. Always use the provided USB charging cable or a compatible LiPo balance charger. Never leave charging batteries unattended.

  1. Connect the USB charging cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  2. Connect the balance plug (white connector) of the LiPo battery to the charging cable.
  3. The indicator light on the charger will show charging status (refer to charger instructions for specific light patterns).
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery from the charger.

Note: A 3S charging cable is not included for the 3S LiPo battery. Ensure you have a compatible 3S LiPo balance charger if the provided USB cable does not support 3S charging.

5.2 Installing Vehicle Battery

  1. Remove the body shell by detaching the body clips.
  2. Locate the battery compartment.
  3. Place a charged LiPo battery into the compartment. Secure it using the battery clip or strap.
  4. Connect the battery's main power connector (red Deans T-connector) to the vehicle's ESC connector. Ensure correct polarity.
  5. Replace the body shell and secure it with the body clips.

5.3 Transmitter Operation

The 2.4GHz remote control transmitter requires 4x AA batteries (not included).

  1. Install 4x AA batteries into the transmitter's battery compartment.
  2. Turn on the transmitter first, then the vehicle.
  3. The transmitter and receiver should automatically bind. If not, refer to the binding instructions in the separate transmitter manual (if provided) or contact support.
  4. Familiarize yourself with the steering wheel (left/right) and throttle trigger (forward/reverse/brake).
  5. Adjust the steering trim and throttle trim knobs if the vehicle does not drive straight or stops when the trigger is neutral.

6. Operation

6.1 Driving Tips

  • Start with gentle throttle inputs to get a feel for the vehicle's response.
  • Practice steering in open areas before attempting higher speeds or complex maneuvers.
  • Avoid prolonged full-throttle operation, especially on rough terrain, to prevent overheating.
  • When driving on loose surfaces, be mindful of traction loss and potential rollovers.

6.2 Speed Modes (2S vs 3S LiPo)

The H16BM is capable of different performance levels depending on the battery used:

  • 2S LiPo Battery (7.4V): Provides a balanced performance with speeds up to 45 kph (27+ mph). Recommended for beginners or when operating in smaller areas.
  • 3S LiPo Battery (11.1V): Unlocks the full potential of the brushless system, achieving speeds up to 68 kph (42+ mph). This mode is for experienced users and requires larger operating spaces.

Caution: The 3S LiPo battery significantly increases the vehicle's speed and power. Exercise extreme caution when operating with a 3S battery.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your HYPER GO H16BM.

7.1 Cleaning

  • After each use, especially in dirty or dusty conditions, clean the vehicle.
  • Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dirt and debris from the chassis, suspension, and motor.
  • Avoid using water or harsh chemicals, as they can damage electronics.

7.2 Component Inspection

  • Regularly check all screws and fasteners for tightness.
  • Inspect the tires for wear and tear.
  • Check the suspension components (shocks, arms, pull rods) for damage or bending.
  • Ensure the motor and ESC are free from obstructions and debris.
  • Lubricate moving parts as needed with RC-specific lubricants.

7.3 Battery Care

  • Store LiPo batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Do not overcharge or over-discharge LiPo batteries.
  • If a battery becomes swollen or damaged, discontinue use immediately and dispose of it safely according to local regulations.
  • For long-term storage, charge LiPo batteries to a storage voltage (typically 3.8V per cell).
