1. Product Overview

The ALERTCAM Power Cable is designed to provide continuous power to compatible Ring battery-operated cameras, eliminating the need for frequent battery changes. This 16.4ft (5m) weatherproof outdoor cable features both a USB-C plug adapter and a Ring barrel DC plug adapter, ensuring broad compatibility and reliable performance in various outdoor conditions.

2. Compatibility

This power cable is specifically designed for the following Ring camera models:

• Ring Stick Up Cam (Battery)
• Ring Spotlight Cam (Battery)

• Ring Spotlight Cam Pro (Battery)

Important: This cable is NOT compatible with wired-only Ring camera models or other brands.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your ALERTCAM Power Cable:

1. Identify the Correct Adapter: Determine whether your Ring camera uses a USB-C port or a DC barrel port for power. The cable includes both adapters.
2. Connect to Camera: Securely plug the appropriate adapter (USB-C or DC barrel) into the power input port on your Ring camera. Ensure a snug fit to maintain the weatherproof seal.
3. Route the Cable: Carefully route the 16.4ft (5m) cable from your camera to a suitable outdoor power outlet. Use the provided cable clips to secure the cable along walls or surfaces, preventing tripping hazards and ensuring a neat installation.
4. Plug into Power Outlet: Insert the power adapter's plug into a standard electrical outlet.

NOTE: The camera's battery must remain installed for the power cable to function correctly. This cable is designed to provide continuous power and maintain the battery charge, not to operate the camera without a battery.

4. Operation

Once properly installed and connected to a power source, the ALERTCAM Power Cable provides a continuous 24-hour power supply to your compatible Ring camera. This ensures uninterrupted operation and eliminates the need for manual battery recharging or swapping.

5. Care and Maintenance

The ALERTCAM Power Cable is designed for outdoor use with durability in mind. To ensure its longevity and optimal performance:

• Weatherproof Design: The USB-C and DC barrel heads are equipped with soft waterproof circles to prevent moisture penetration at the charging port. Ensure these seals are clean and properly seated during installation.
• Safeguard Protection: The cable features built-in safeguards to protect against over-current, over-heating, over-voltage, and short-circuiting. This ensures safe and stable charging for your camera.
