Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your A-iPower SUA2301i Portable Inverter Generator. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the generator to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage.
Important Safety Information
WARNING: Carbon Monoxide Hazard. Using a generator indoors WILL KILL YOU IN MINUTES. Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a poison gas you cannot see or smell. NEVER use in a home or in partly enclosed areas such as garages. Only use OUTSIDE and far from open windows, doors, and vents.
- Always operate the generator in a well-ventilated outdoor area.
- Ensure proper grounding to prevent electric shock.
- Do not expose the generator to rain or wet conditions.
- Check for fuel overflow or leakage before starting.
- Equipped with a CO sensor with auto shutdown technology for enhanced safety.

Connecting Electrical Loads
- Connect your devices to the appropriate outlets on the control panel.
- Do not exceed the running wattage of 1800W or the starting wattage of 2300W.
- For sensitive electronics, the inverter technology provides clean power with less than 3% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD).
Parallel Operation
The SUA2301i is parallel equipped, allowing you to connect two identical generators for increased power output. Use the provided parallel cables and follow the instructions in the separate parallel kit manual for safe connection.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your generator.
- Engine Oil: Check oil level before each use. Change oil regularly as per the maintenance schedule in the full owner's manual.
- Air Filter: Inspect and clean the air filter regularly. Replace if damaged.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug periodically. Replace if worn or fouled.
- Fuel System: For long-term storage, it is recommended to drain the carburetor and fuel tank to prevent fuel degradation. Use a fuel stabilizer if storing with fuel in the tank.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Generator will not start | No fuel, low oil, main switch off, fuel valve off. | Add fuel, add oil, turn main switch ON, turn fuel valve ON. |
| No power output | Overload, circuit breaker tripped. | Reduce load, reset circuit breaker. |
| Engine stops during operation | Low fuel, low oil, CO sensor activated. | Add fuel, add oil, move generator to well-ventilated area. |
