2. Setup

2.1 Unboxing and Placement
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Place the charging dock on a hard, level surface against a wall, ensuring there are no obstacles within 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) to either side and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front.
- Connect the power cable to the charging dock and plug it into a power outlet.

2.2 App Installation and WiFi Connection
- Download the Roborock App: Search for "Roborock" in your mobile app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and download the official application.
- Register and Log In: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account or log in if you already have one.
- Add Device: Tap the "+" icon to add a new device. Scan the QR code on your Roborock Q5 Pro or select it from the list of available models.
- Connect to WiFi:
- Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The Roborock Q5 Pro only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. If your router supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, temporarily switch your phone to the 2.4GHz band during setup.
- Press and hold the Power and Dock buttons on the robot simultaneously until you hear the "Resetting WiFi" alert. The WiFi indicator light will flash slowly.

3.2 Cleaning Modes and Features
- Vacuuming: The 5500Pa powerful suction and DuoRoller Brush technology effectively remove dirt, dust, and pet hair from various surfaces including hardwood, tile, and carpet. You can customize suction modes in the app.
- Simultaneous Vacuuming and Mopping: The 180ml SnapMop system allows the Q5 Pro to vacuum and mop simultaneously, capturing fine dirt. It supports two water flow adjustments via the water tank's button. The detachable mop design offers flexibility.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Dustbin and Filter
- Emptying the Dustbin: The Q5 Pro features a combined 770ml dustbin and water tank. Empty the dustbin after each cleaning session or when prompted by the app.

- Cleaning the Filter: The filter should be cleaned regularly (e.g., weekly) and replaced every 3-6 months depending on usage. Tap out loose dirt, then rinse under water. Allow to air dry completely before reinserting.

- DuoRoller Brushes: Remove the main brushes and clean any tangled hair or debris. Use the cleaning tool provided to cut and remove hair. Ensure the brushes are reinserted correctly (red and black ends have different shapes).
