1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the NOTABRICK Bluetooth Speaker Model RM. This portable wireless speaker is designed to deliver a powerful 15W stereo sound experience with active extra bass. Featuring Bluetooth V5.0 for stable connectivity, IPX6 waterproof rating for outdoor use, and True Wireless Stereo (TWS) pairing for an immersive 360° sound, this speaker is suitable for various environments including parties, home theaters, and outdoor activities. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use and optimal performance of your device.

3. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the speaker's components:

3.1 Control Buttons and Ports

  • Power Button ( ): Press and hold to power on/off. Short press to switch playback modes (Bluetooth/TF Card/AUX).
  • Volume Down / Previous Track Button ( ): Short press to decrease volume. Long press to go to the previous track.
  • Play/Pause / Call Button (): Short press to play/pause music. Short press to answer/end a call. Long press to reject a call.
  • Volume Up / Next Track Button (: Short press to increase volume. Long press to go to the next track.
  • TWS Pairing Button (: Short press to activate/deactivate TWS pairing mode.
  • Type-C Charging Port: For charging the speaker using the provided USB Type-C cable.
  • AUX Input Port: For wired audio connection using a 3.5mm audio cable.
  • TF Card Slot: For playing music directly from a Micro SD (TF) card (supports WAV / FLAC / APE / MP3 formats).
  • LED Indicator: Displays the speaker's status (pairing, charging, playback).

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the USB Type-C charging cable to the speaker's Type-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (5V/2A recommended) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
  4. A full charge typically takes approximately 3-4 hours.

Note: For optimal battery life, fully charge the speaker before first use.

4.2 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds. You will hear an audible prompt, and the LED indicator will flash.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds. You will hear an audible prompt, and the LED indicator will turn off.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Bluetooth Pairing (Single Speaker)

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (the LED indicator will be flashing rapidly). If not, short press the Power button to switch to Bluetooth mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
  3. Search for "NOTABRICK RM" in the list of available Bluetooth devices.
  4. Select "NOTABRICK RM" to connect. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound, and the LED indicator will turn solid blue.
  5. The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, if the device's Bluetooth is active and within range.

5.2 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

TWS allows you to connect two NOTABRICK RM speakers for a synchronized stereo sound experience.

  1. Ensure both NOTABRICK RM speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
  2. On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), short press the TWS Pairing button. The speaker will enter TWS pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED.
  3. The two speakers will automatically search for and pair with each other. Once successfully paired, you will hear a confirmation sound, and the LED indicator on the primary speaker will flash slowly, while the secondary speaker's LED will turn solid blue.
  4. Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in Section 5.1. The primary speaker's LED will turn solid blue once connected to your device.
  5. To disconnect TWS, short press the TWS Pairing button on either speaker.

5.3 Music Playback

  • Bluetooth Mode: After successful pairing, open your music application on your device and start playback. Use the speaker's Play/Pause, Volume Up/Next, and Volume Down/Previous buttons to control music.
  • TF Card Mode: Insert a Micro SD (TF) card with supported audio files (WAV, FLAC, APE, MP3) into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically switch to TF Card mode and begin playback. Use the speaker's control buttons for navigation.
  • AUX Mode: Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX audio cable to the speaker's AUX input port and the other end to your audio device's headphone jack. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. Control playback from your audio device.

5.4 Hands-free Calling

When connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth:

  • Answer Call: Short press the Play/Pause button.
  • End Call: Short press the Play/Pause button.
  • Reject Call: Long press the Play/Pause button.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the speaker away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and corrosive liquids.
  • Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when not charging to maintain IPX6 waterproof rating.
  • If the speaker will not be used for an extended period, charge it at least once every three months to preserve battery life.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Speaker does not power on. Low battery. Charge the speaker fully.
Cannot pair with Bluetooth device. Bluetooth not enabled on device; speaker not in pairing mode; device too far. Ensure Bluetooth is on. Put speaker in pairing mode. Move device closer (within 10 meters). Forget previous connections on device.
No sound. Volume too low; incorrect mode; device not playing. Increase speaker and device volume. Ensure correct mode (Bluetooth/TF/AUX). Check if music is playing on the source device.
TWS pairing fails. Speakers too far apart; one speaker already connected to a device. Ensure both speakers are close and not connected to any other Bluetooth device before initiating TWS pairing.
Poor sound quality. Low battery; interference; source audio quality. Charge the speaker. Move away from other wireless devices. Try a different audio source.
