Setup and Charging

Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the NEXPOW AP1. It is recommended to fully charge the unit every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.

  1. Connect the provided USB-C to USB-C cable to the Type-C IN/OUT port on the AP1.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a 60W PD wall charger (not included) or a compatible USB power adapter.
  3. The LCD display will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes about 2 hours with a 60W PD charger.

Operating Instructions

Jump Starting a Vehicle

The NEXPOW AP1 can jump start 12V vehicles with up to all gas or 10L diesel engines.

  1. Ensure the jump starter is at least 50% charged.
  2. Turn off the vehicle's ignition and all accessories.
  3. Insert the smart jumper cable into the jumper cable port on the AP1 unit.
  4. Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  5. Connect the black (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  6. Check the indicator light on the smart jumper cable.
    • Solid Green: Ready to jump start.
    • Solid Red with Beep: Reverse polarity or short circuit. Disconnect and re-connect correctly.
    • Flashing Green: Battery voltage too low (below 1V). Proceed to step 7.
  7. If the indicator is solid green, start the vehicle. If it's flashing green, press and hold the "FORCE START" button on the smart jumper cable for 3 seconds until the green light becomes solid, then start the vehicle within 30 seconds.
  8. Once the vehicle starts, immediately remove the clamps from the car battery, first the black (-) and then the red (+).
  9. Disconnect the smart jumper cable from the AP1 unit.

How to Jump Start Your Car with NEXPOW AP1

Using the Air Compressor

The integrated 150 PSI air compressor can inflate tires and other inflatables.

  1. Connect the air hose to the air hose port on the AP1 unit.
  2. Attach the air hose nozzle firmly to the tire valve stem or appropriate valve adapter for other inflatables.
  3. Press the power button to activate the unit. The screen will display the current pressure.
  4. Press the "PUMP" button to cycle through pressure units (PSI, BAR, KPA).
  5. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired target pressure.
  6. Press and hold the "PUMP" button for 3 seconds to start inflation. The compressor will automatically stop when the preset pressure is reached.
  7. Disconnect the air hose from the tire valve.

Note: For continuous use, allow the compressor to cool down for 5 minutes after every 5-10 minutes of operation to prevent overheating.
