Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the charger and batteries. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the charger and batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, ensure batteries are partially charged (around 50%).
  • Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging Ni-CD batteries frequently, as this can reduce their lifespan. Recharge them before they are completely depleted.
  • Disposal: Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations. Do not dispose of batteries in household waste.

Troubleshooting

Charger not powering on:
  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the charger and the power source.
  • Try a different USB cable or power source to rule out a faulty component.
Batteries not charging:
  • Verify that the batteries are correctly inserted into the charging slots with proper contact.
  • Check the LED indicators; if they show "No power," refer to the "Charger not powering on" steps.
  • Ensure the batteries are compatible with the charger (refer to the compatibility list).
Short battery life after charging:
  • Ni-CD batteries can develop a "memory effect" if not fully discharged periodically. Consider performing a full discharge/recharge cycle if you suspect this.
  • Batteries have a finite lifespan. If they are old, they may need replacement.
