4. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the receiver to water or high humidity. It is designed for indoor use only.
  • Keep the product away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the unit yourself. Contact customer support for assistance.
  • Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. Do not incinerate batteries.

5. Setup and Installation

5.1. Receiver Setup

  1. Plug the wireless doorbell receiver into a standard indoor electrical outlet.
  2. The receiver will light up and emit a default chime, indicating it is powered on and ready.

5.2. Transmitter Installation

The transmitter is IP55 weatherproof and suitable for outdoor installation. Choose a location near your door that is easily accessible to visitors.

There are two methods for mounting the transmitter:

Method 1: Using Double-Sided Adhesive Tape

  1. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is dry and free of dust or grease.
  2. Peel off one side of the protective film from the double-sided adhesive tape and attach it to the back of the transmitter's mounting plate.
  3. Peel off the other side of the protective film and firmly press the transmitter onto the desired location for at least 30 seconds.

Method 2: Using Screws

  1. Separate the back mounting plate from the transmitter unit.
  2. Mark the positions for drilling holes using the mounting plate as a template.
  3. Drill two holes at the marked positions. Insert wall anchors if mounting on masonry or drywall.
  4. Secure the mounting plate to the wall using the provided screws.
  5. Attach the transmitter unit to the secured mounting plate.

5.3. Pairing Additional Transmitters (If Applicable)

Your doorbell system comes pre-paired. If you purchase additional transmitters or need to re-pair, follow these steps:

  1. Plug in the receiver.
  2. Press and hold the volume button on the receiver for 3 seconds until you hear a "ding-dong" sound and the LED indicator flashes. This indicates pairing mode.
  3. Immediately press the push button on the transmitter. The receiver will chime, confirming successful pairing.
  4. To pair multiple transmitters, repeat steps 2 and 3 for each additional transmitter.

6. Operation

6.1. Changing Melodies

To select a melody:

  1. Press the "Melody Selection" button on the receiver to cycle through the 35 available chimes.
  2. Once you hear the desired melody, stop pressing the button. The receiver will automatically save this selection.

6.2. Adjusting Volume

To adjust the volume level:

  1. Press the "Volume" button on the receiver to cycle through the 5 volume levels.
  2. Continue pressing until you reach your preferred volume. The receiver will save this setting.
  3. One of the volume levels is a mute mode, where only the LED indicator flashes when the doorbell is pressed.

6.3. Memory Function

The HTZSAFE Wireless Owl Doorbell System is equipped with a memory function. All your selected melodies and volume settings will be retained even if the receiver is unplugged or experiences a power outage. There is no need to reset your preferences.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Transmitter Battery Replacement

The transmitter uses one 12V 23A alkaline battery, which typically lasts up to 3 years. When the transmitter's LED indicator no longer lights up or the range decreases significantly, it's time to replace the battery.

  1. Carefully remove the transmitter unit from its mounting plate.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the transmitter.
  3. Remove the old 12V 23A battery.
  4. Insert a new 12V 23A alkaline battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  5. Close the battery compartment cover and reattach the transmitter to its mounting plate.

7.2. Cleaning

To clean the doorbell units, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the surface or internal components.

8. Troubleshooting
