2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Pre-Installation Checklist

• Verify the hood dimensions (46"W x 21"D x 14.25"H) and ensure your custom hood shell has a cut-out dimension of 44-5/8"W x 19-5/8"D.
• Confirm appropriate mounting height: 24-30 inches above electric cooktops, 28-30 inches above gas cooktops.
• Ensure a 6-inch round duct is available for ducted installation. For ductless conversion, ensure charcoal filters (sold separately) are acquired.
• Gather necessary tools and ensure adequate support for the hood during installation, as it is a substantial unit.
