3. Setup Guide

3.1 Package Contents

Before proceeding, ensure all items are present in the package:

3.2 Charging the Keyboard

The keyboard comes with a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery.

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the keyboard.
2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged. A full charge typically takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

3.3 Connecting via 2.4G Wireless

For devices without Bluetooth or for a dedicated connection:

1. Insert the 2.4G USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer or device.
2. Slide the power switch on the side of the keyboard to the "2.4G" position.
3. The keyboard should automatically connect. The device indicator light for 2.4G (usually labeled '1') will stop blinking and remain solid.

3.4 Connecting via Bluetooth

The keyboard supports up to three Bluetooth connections.

1. Slide the power switch on the side of the keyboard to the "Bluetooth" position.
2. Press and hold one of the Bluetooth device keys (F1, F2, or F3) for 3 seconds until its indicator light starts blinking rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
3. On your device (computer, tablet, smartphone), go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
4. Select "Rapoo E9050" from the list of available devices.
5. If prompted, enter the pairing code displayed on your screen using the Rapoo E9050 keyboard and press Enter.
6. Once paired, the indicator light for the selected Bluetooth channel will stop blinking and remain solid.
7. Repeat these steps for other Bluetooth devices using F2 and F3 keys.

4.1 Switching Between Connected Devices

To switch between your connected devices:

• Press the F1, F2, or F3 key to switch to the corresponding Bluetooth device.
• Press the F4 key (or the key labeled '1' if using 2.4G) to switch to the 2.4G wireless connected device.
• The indicator light above the selected key will illuminate to confirm the active connection.

4.2 Switching Operating System Modes (Windows/Mac)

The keyboard features a dedicated key to adapt its function keys for Windows or macOS.

• Press the Fn key + Q (for Mac) or Fn key + W (for Windows) to switch the function key layout.
• This ensures that multimedia and shortcut keys function correctly on your chosen operating system.

4.3 Multimedia and Shortcut Keys

The top row of keys (F1-F12) also serves as multimedia and shortcut keys. To activate these functions, press the Fn key simultaneously with the desired F-key.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the keyboard surface. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. For dust between keys, use compressed air.
