1. Product Overview

The Earto Magic Style Keyboard is designed to enhance your iPad experience, transforming it into a versatile workstation. It features a magnetic floating design, an integrated precision touchpad, and 7-color adjustable backlighting for comfortable use in various environments.

Compatibility:

2. Setup Instructions

Attaching Your iPad:

  1. Gently align your iPad with the magnetic back of the keyboard case.
  2. The powerful magnets will securely attach the iPad, holding it in a floating position similar to a laptop.
  3. Adjust the viewing angle to your preference. The robust aluminum hinge allows for continuous angle adjustment up to 135 degrees.

Bluetooth Connection:

  1. Ensure your iPad's Bluetooth is enabled.
  2. Press the Fn + C keys simultaneously on the keyboard to activate Bluetooth pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
  3. On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  4. Locate and select "Bluetooth 5.1 Keyboard" (or similar name) from the list of available devices.
  5. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will turn off.

3. Operating Instructions

Automatic On/Off (Hall Switch):

The keyboard features a unique Hall switch. When your iPad is magnetically connected and the keyboard is opened, it will automatically power on. Closing the keyboard will automatically power it off, conserving battery life.

Backlighting Control:

The keyboard offers 7 rainbow backlight colors and three adjustable brightness levels. Use the dedicated backlight keys to cycle through colors and adjust brightness.

Trackpad Gestures:

The integrated trackpad supports multi-touch gestures for intuitive navigation and control of your iPad. Common gestures include:

  • Click: Single finger tap.
  • Scroll: Two fingers drag up or down.
  • Zoom: Pinch with two fingers.
  • Switch Apps: Three fingers swipe left or right.
  • Go to Home Screen: Three fingers swipe up.

Function Keys:

The keyboard includes a row of function keys that provide quick access to iPadOS shortcuts. These include media controls, brightness adjustment, and more. Use the Fn key in combination with specific keys for additional functions.

4. Maintenance

Charging the Keyboard:

The keyboard is rechargeable via a Type-C USB port. Use the provided charging cable to connect the keyboard to a power source.

  • A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.
  • The keyboard can operate continuously for up to 70 hours without backlighting.
  • With backlighting enabled, continuous operation is approximately 10 hours.

Cleaning:

To clean the keyboard, gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard not connecting via Bluetooth:
    Ensure the keyboard is charged. Press Fn + C to enter pairing mode. On your iPad, forget the device if previously paired, then try reconnecting. Restart both the iPad and the keyboard.
  • Trackpad not responding:
    Check if the keyboard is properly connected via Bluetooth. Ensure the iPadOS version supports trackpad functionality. Restart the iPad and keyboard.
  • Backlight not working:
    Ensure the keyboard is charged. Use the backlight control keys to adjust brightness and cycle through colors.
  • Keys not responding:
    Verify Bluetooth connection and battery level. If specific keys are unresponsive, contact customer support.
