5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Choosing a Location
Select a location for the inverter that is:
- Dry and well-ventilated.
- Away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and flammable materials.
- Accessible for connections and maintenance.
- Securely mounted to prevent movement.
5.2 Connecting to a 12V DC Power Source
- Ensure the inverter is turned OFF.
- Connect the red battery cable to the positive (+) terminal of the inverter and then to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V battery.
- Connect the black battery cable to the negative (-) terminal of the inverter and then to the negative (-) terminal of your 12V battery.
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent loose connections and arcing.
- Connect the earth wire from the inverter's grounding terminal to a proper earth ground point.
5.3 Connecting the Remote Control
Plug the remote control cable into the designated remote port on the inverter. This allows for convenient power control from a distance.

Figure 5.1: Typical Inverter Connection Diagram
This diagram illustrates how the 3000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter can be integrated into a system, typically with a 12V deep cycle battery and a solar panel setup including a current and voltage controller. It also shows common application scenarios such as powering an RV, providing electricity during a blackout, or for night camping.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Powering On the Inverter
Once all connections are secure, you can power on the inverter using either the switch on the inverter unit or the remote control. The LED display will illuminate, showing current operational status.
6.2 Understanding the LED Display
The LED display provides crucial information:
- Input Voltage (BT): Shows the current DC voltage from your battery.
- Output Voltage (AC): Displays the AC output voltage (110V/120V).
- Output Power (P): Indicates the current power consumption of connected devices.
- Battery Capacity: A visual indicator of your battery's charge level.
- Temperature (T): Shows the internal temperature of the inverter.
- Protection Indication: Alerts for various protection modes (e.g., overload, low voltage).
6.3 Connecting Appliances
Plug your AC appliances into the available AC outlets or connect to the AC terminal block for higher power devices. Ensure the total wattage of connected appliances does not exceed the inverter's continuous power rating (3000W).
