Setup
Before initial use, carefully inspect the battery for any signs of physical damage, such as swelling, punctures, or damaged connectors. Ensure all connections are secure and free from corrosion.
Initial Charge:
It is recommended to perform an initial balance charge to full capacity using a compatible LiPo charger. Always refer to your charger's instruction manual for specific charging procedures and safety precautions.
Operating Instructions
Charging:
Always use a charger specifically designed for Lithium Polymer batteries that includes a balance charging function. Connect the main discharge plug (XT90S) and the balance lead to the appropriate ports on your charger.
The recommended charge rate for this battery is 1C. For this 16000mAh battery, 1C equals 16 Amps. Do not exceed this rate unless explicitly stated by the manufacturer or your charger's specifications for safe charging.
Discharging:
This battery has a continuous discharge rate of 15C and a maximum burst discharge rate of 30C. Ensure that the current draw of your application does not exceed these limits to prevent damage to the battery and ensure safe operation.
Do not discharge the battery below 3.0V per cell (18.0V for a 6S pack) to prevent irreversible damage and maintain battery longevity. The integrated BMS will provide an under-voltage alert if the voltage drops too low.
Usage:
Connect the XT90S discharge plug to your device, ensuring correct polarity. The integrated BMS provides comprehensive protection features including over-voltage, under-voltage, over-temperature, and low-temperature alerts, as well as warnings for cell abnormalities and significant cell voltage differences.
Maintenance and Storage
Storage:
For long-term storage, it is crucial to charge or discharge the battery to its storage voltage, typically 3.8V-3.85V per cell. This battery features a convenient storage and self-discharge function to assist with this.
Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and extreme temperatures. Always use a LiPo-safe bag or fireproof container for storage to minimize risks.
Care:
Regularly inspect the battery for any signs of swelling, physical damage, or loose connections. If any abnormalities are observed, discontinue use immediately and follow proper disposal procedures or consult customer support.
Troubleshooting
- Battery not charging: Check all charger connections, power supply, and the battery's balance lead. Ensure your charger is set to the correct LiPo mode and cell count (6S).
- Low voltage alert: The integrated BMS will alert you if any cell voltage drops too low. Stop using the battery immediately and charge it to prevent irreversible damage.
- Over-temperature alert: If the battery becomes excessively hot during use or charging, discontinue operation and allow it to cool down completely in a safe, non-flammable area.
- Cell abnormal alert: This indicates a potential issue with one or more individual cells within the pack. Discontinue use immediately and contact customer support for assistance.
