Installation Guide

Important: Professional installation is highly recommended. Disconnect the vehicle's battery before starting any electrical work.

Pre-Installation Check:

  1. Ensure your vehicle has a standard 2-DIN radio stereo slot.
  2. If your car is equipped with an original car amplifier, please contact ZERTRAN support before installation.
  3. Verify all package contents are present and undamaged.

Installation Steps:

  1. Remove Original Head Unit: Carefully remove the existing car stereo from the dashboard. Refer to your vehicle's specific service manual for detailed instructions.
  2. Connect Power Cable: Connect the provided power cable harness to the corresponding wires from your vehicle's wiring harness. Ensure correct polarity (ACC, B+, GND, etc.).
  3. Connect RCA Wire Harness: Attach the RCA wire harness for audio output, auxiliary input, and subwoofer connections as needed.
  4. Connect Camera Input (Optional): If installing a rear view camera, connect the camera input cable to the appropriate port on the multimedia player and route the camera cable to the rear of the vehicle.
  5. Connect USB Cables: Connect the 4-pin and/or 6-pin USB cables for external USB devices or charging. Route them to a convenient location in your vehicle.
  6. Install GPS Antenna: Mount the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or under the windshield, ensuring it is securely attached.
  7. Test Connections: Before fully securing the unit, reconnect the vehicle's battery and power on the multimedia player to test all functions (audio, touch screen, radio, GPS, Bluetooth, camera input).
  8. Secure Head Unit: Once all functions are verified, carefully slide the ZERTRAN multimedia player into the 2-DIN slot and secure it using the mounting brackets.
  9. Reassemble Dashboard: Reassemble any removed dashboard panels.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation:

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (usually on the left side of the unit) to turn the device on or off. A short press typically mutes/unmutes audio.
  • Volume Control: Use the volume buttons or on-screen controls to adjust audio levels.
  • Home Screen: Tap the home icon to return to the main interface.
  • Back Button: Tap the back icon to return to the previous screen or menu.

CarPlay & Android Auto:

Connect your iPhone or Android smartphone via USB to activate CarPlay or Android Auto. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup.

  • CarPlay (for iOS): Access navigation, music, messages, and calls directly from your iPhone interface on the car display.
  • Android Auto (for Android): Use Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, and other compatible apps optimized for driving.

GPS Navigation:

Bluetooth Function (BT):

Pair your smartphone with the multimedia player via Bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio streaming.

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on the multimedia player.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and search for available devices.
  3. Select "ZERTRAN" (or similar device name) from the list and confirm pairing.
  4. Once paired, you can make/receive calls and play music wirelessly.

FM Radio:

Access the FM Radio application to listen to local radio stations.

  • Scan: Use the auto-scan function to find and save available stations.
  • Manual Tune: Manually adjust the frequency to find specific stations.
  • Presets: Save your favorite stations to preset buttons for quick access.

Wi-Fi Connectivity:

Steering Wheel Control (SWC):

If your vehicle supports SWC, you can configure the buttons to control the multimedia player.

  1. Go to Settings > Steering Learn (or similar option).

Car Reverser Camera:

When a compatible rear view camera is connected, the display will automatically switch to the camera feed when the vehicle is put into reverse gear.

Maintenance
