Setup

1. Sensor Installation

Select a suitable location for the solar motion sensor, such as a post or wall, ensuring it has clear line of sight to the area you wish to monitor and receives adequate sunlight for charging. The sensor features 360-degree adjustment for optimal positioning. Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the sensor.

The sensor can be adjusted 360 degrees to cover the desired detection area. It features a solar panel for continuous charging and a PIR sensor for motion detection.

The sensor is designed for outdoor use with an IP66 waterproof rating, making it resistant to rain, snow, and extreme temperatures (-20℃ to 60℃).

The solar wireless motion sensor is easy to install, waterproof, and designed to operate in various weather conditions.

2. Receiver Placement

Place the wireless receiver indoors in a central location where you can easily hear its alerts. The system offers a wireless transmission range of up to 1/2 mile (approximately 800 meters) in open areas. The PIR sensor detection range is up to 30 feet (approximately 9 meters).

The system provides a long wireless transmission range from the sensor to the receiver, with the sensor detecting motion up to 30 feet away.

3. Pairing Sensors with Receiver

To pair a sensor with the receiver:

  1. Plug in the receiver.
  2. Press and hold the pairing button on the receiver until an indicator light flashes.
  3. Trigger the sensor by passing your hand in front of it. The receiver will chime to confirm successful pairing.
  4. Repeat for additional sensors. Up to 7 sensors can be paired with one receiver.

Operating

1. Chime Selection

The receiver offers 7 unique chimes. You can assign different chimes to different sensors to distinguish which area has detected motion. Refer to the receiver's controls for chime selection.

2. Motion Detection

The passive infrared (PIR) sensor detects motion by sensing changes in infrared radiation (heat). It is effective at detecting people, animals, and vehicles within its 30-foot detection zone.

The motion sensor effectively detects the presence of people, animals, and vehicles.

3. Expandable System

The eMACROS system is fully expandable. You can add additional sensors and receivers to create a comprehensive security network around your property, covering multiple entry points or areas of interest.

The system supports multiple sensors and receivers for expanded coverage of your property.

Maintenance

Solar Charging

The sensor is solar-powered, eliminating the need for battery replacement. Ensure the solar panel is kept clean and free from obstructions (like leaves or snow) to maximize charging efficiency. The internal lithium polymer battery can charge even on cloudy or rainy days.

Weather Resistance

The sensor's IP66 waterproof design and industrial-grade PVC housing ensure durability in harsh weather. Regularly inspect the sensor for any physical damage or blockages to the detection lens.

Troubleshooting

IssuePossible CauseSolution
No detectionSensor misaligned, battery low, obstruction, out of range.Adjust sensor angle, ensure solar panel is clean, check receiver connection, verify range (PIR detection is 30ft).
False alarmsMoving foliage, small animals, direct sunlight on sensor.Adjust sensor angle to avoid foliage, mount higher to avoid small animals, reposition to avoid direct sunlight.
Receiver not chimingReceiver unplugged, not paired, out of range.Ensure receiver is powered, re-pair sensor, move receiver closer to sensor.
