Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your BlueRetro adapter, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • VMU Part Not Working Properly:
    • Ensure your firmware is updated to the latest version from the RetroScaler GitHub.
    • Check the VMU Manager page in the BlueRetro BLE Web-Config for settings: DC VMU Manager Page.
    • Confirm that the Dreamcast VMU can recognize the virtual memory card.
  • PC Not Recognizing Adapter During Firmware Update:
    • Ensure you are pressing and holding the "PAIR" button before connecting the adapter to the PC with the USB-C cable.
    • Try installing the CH340 driver on your PC.
  • High Latency or Disconnection Issues with Multiple Controllers:
    • Avoid connecting multiple Switch controllers or mixing them with other brands of controllers simultaneously, as this can lead to performance issues.
    • Ensure your firmware is up-to-date, as updates often address latency problems (e.g., v25.04 fixed Switch controller delay).
  • 8bit-do M30 Controller Not Working Correctly:
    • The 8bit-do M30 controller is in joystick mode by default. Press and hold the "Up" + "Select" keys on the controller for approximately 5 seconds to switch it to D-pad mode.
