4. Setup and Installation
The RolloTron Premium is designed for wall-mounted installation and is suitable for belt widths of 23 mm. It can handle roller shutters with a maximum pulling force of 30 kg.
4.1 Pre-installation Checks
- Ensure the existing roller shutter belt is 23 mm wide.
- Confirm the roller shutter's weight does not exceed 30 kg.
- Identify a suitable location on the wall near the roller shutter belt, ensuring access to a power outlet.
4.2 Mounting Steps
Follow these steps for wall mounting:
- Step 1: Remove Old Winder (if applicable)
Carefully remove your existing manual belt winder. - Step 2: Mount the Bracket
Position the mounting bracket on the wall where the new winder will be installed. Mark the drilling points. Drill holes and secure the bracket using the provided screws and wall plugs. - Step 3: Connect the Belt
With the roller shutter fully closed, extract the belt from its original mechanism. Cut the belt approximately 20 cm longer than the mounting position of the new winder. Create a small loop or slot at the end of the belt as indicated in the detailed manual. Insert the belt into the winder's slot and secure the loop onto the internal hook/pin. Wind the belt a few turns manually to ensure it is firmly attached. - Step 4: Attach the Winder to the Bracket
Slide the RolloTron Premium winder onto the mounted bracket until it clicks into place. - Step 5: Connect Power
Plug the power cable into the device and then into a standard European power outlet.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your RolloTron Premium Shutter Winder.
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Belt Inspection: Periodically check the roller shutter belt for signs of wear, fraying, or damage. A damaged belt can affect the winder's operation and may need replacement.
- Operational Check: Occasionally test the manual and automatic functions to ensure smooth operation.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your RolloTron Premium Shutter Winder, refer to the following common solutions:
- Device Not Responding:
- Check if the power cable is securely plugged into both the device and the power outlet.
- Verify that the power outlet is functional. - Time/Program Reset After Power Outage:
- In case of a power interruption, the device may lose its current time setting. You will need to reset the time. Programmed end stops are typically retained in memory. - Roller Shutter Not Moving or Stopping Incorrectly:
- Ensure the belt is correctly attached and not frayed or damaged. A loose or damaged belt can cause operational issues.
- Re-check the end stop settings. They might need recalibration if the roller shutter is not reaching its full open or closed position. - Unusual Noises During Operation:
- This might indicate an issue with the roller shutter mechanism itself or the belt. Inspect the belt for obstructions or damage. If the noise persists, contact customer support.
For more complex issues, consult the full instruction manual or contact HOMEPILOT customer support.
