4. Product Overview

The VANTRUE N5 features a multi-camera setup for comprehensive vehicle coverage. The main unit houses the front camera and an interior-facing camera, while a separate rear camera provides coverage for the vehicle's rear. The integrated GPS module tracks location and speed, and 5GHz WiFi enables seamless connection to the mobile application.

5. Setup

5.1 Memory Card Installation

Insert a high-speed (Class 10 or higher, U3 recommended) microSD card into the dash cam's memory card slot. The N5 supports up to 512GB cards. Ensure the card is formatted within the dash cam for optimal performance.

5.2 Dash Cam Installation

Mount the main dash cam unit on your vehicle's front windshield, ideally behind the rearview mirror, using the provided adhesive mount. Ensure it does not obstruct your view. Connect the rear camera to the main unit using the long rear camera cable and mount it on the rear windshield. Route cables neatly along the vehicle's trim.

5.3 Power Connection

Connect the car charger to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket and the dash cam's power input. The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when the vehicle starts.

Download the VANTRUE app from your smartphone's app store. Enable Wi-Fi on the dash cam and connect your phone to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network. This allows for live preview, video download, settings adjustment, and firmware updates.

5.5 GPS Functionality

The integrated GPS module records your driving speed, location, and route. This data can be viewed and analyzed using the VANTRUE GPS Player software on a PC or directly within the VANTRUE app.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Recording (Loop Recording)

The N5 automatically starts loop recording when powered on. Videos are recorded in segments (e.g., 1, 3, 5 minutes) and saved to the microSD card. When the card is full, the oldest unlocked files are overwritten by new recordings.
