Important Safety Instructions

Setup

1. Unpack the toaster and remove all packaging materials.
2. Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the toaster for ventilation.
3. Ensure the removable crumb trays are properly inserted into their slots at the bottom of the toaster.
4. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The toaster is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Basic Toasting

1. Insert bread slices, bagels, or other items into the toaster slots. Ensure items are not too thick or too large to fit without force.
2. Select your desired browning level using the shade control knob (settings 1-6). Lower numbers result in lighter toast, higher numbers result in darker toast.
3. Press down the toast lever until it locks into place. The indicator light for the selected side will illuminate, and the toasting cycle will begin.
4. The toast will automatically pop up when the cycle is complete.

Special Functions

• CANCEL: Press the CANCEL button to stop the toasting cycle at any time. This will immediately eject the items from the slots.
• BAGEL: Press the BAGEL button after lowering the toast lever. This function is designed to toast the cut side of bagels while gently warming the other side.
• DEFROST: Press the DEFROST button after lowering the toast lever. This function thaws and toasts frozen bread, adjusting the toasting time accordingly.

Maintenance and Cleaning

1. Always unplug the toaster from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Pull out the removable crumb trays located at the bottom of the toaster.
3. Discard accumulated crumbs and wipe the trays with a damp cloth. Ensure the trays are thoroughly dry before reinserting them into the toaster.
4. Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
5. Never immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.
6. For storage, wrap the power cord around the cord wrap storage area located at the bottom of the toaster.

Troubleshooting

• Toaster not working: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a functional electrical outlet. Verify that the toast lever is fully pressed down and locked into place.
• Uneven toasting: Ensure bread slices are centered within the slots. Adjust the browning level as needed; some bread types may require different settings.
• Bread stuck: Unplug the toaster from the power outlet. Carefully remove the stuck bread using non-metallic utensils (e.g., wooden tongs). Never use metal objects or force the lever.
• Smoke from toaster: A small amount of smoke may occur during the first few uses as manufacturing residues burn off. This is normal. If excessive smoke occurs, it may be due to accumulated crumbs. Press the CANCEL button, unplug the toaster, and clean the crumb trays.
