Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective slicing with your CUSIMAX Meat Slicer.
- Prepare Food:
- For best results, chill meats and cheeses before slicing. This helps them hold their shape better.
- Remove any bones, foil, or other non-food items from the item to be sliced.
- Ensure the food item fits securely on the food carriage.
- Adjust Thickness: Rotate the thickness adjustment knob to your desired slice thickness. The range is from 1mm (thin) to 20mm (thick).

Figure 4: The thickness adjustment knob allows precise control over slice thickness, ranging from 0mm to 20mm, suitable for various food types like bread, meat, and cheese.
- Position Food: Place the food item firmly against the food guide plate and secure it with the food pusher. Ensure your fingers are always behind the food pusher.
- Turn On: Press the On/Off switch to start the motor.
- Slice Food: Gently push the food carriage forward and backward, guiding the food item against the rotating blade. Apply even pressure with the food pusher.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your slicer. Always prioritize safety during cleaning.
- Unplug and Set Thickness to Zero: Before cleaning, always ensure the slicer is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet. Set the thickness adjustment knob to the "0" position to cover the blade edge.

Figure 6: Important safety reminder for cleaning: always turn off the appliance, allow it to stop completely, set the thickness knob to 0, and then unplug before proceeding with cleaning.
- Remove Components: Carefully remove the blade, food carriage, and food pusher. Refer to the "Setup" section for removal instructions if needed.
- Clean Blade: Use a damp cloth and mild detergent to wipe the blade. Be extremely careful as the blade is very sharp. You may use a brush for hard-to-reach areas. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Clean Food Carriage and Pusher: These parts can be washed with warm, soapy water. They are often dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to prolong their lifespan. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Clean Motor Housing: Wipe the motor housing with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor housing in water.
- Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the slicer.
