3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your MUFGA Hydroponics System:

  1. Assemble the System: Place the main unit on a stable, flat surface. Ensure the adjustable light pole is securely attached.
  2. Prepare Planting Sponges: Submerge the planting sponges in a bowl of water for a few minutes until they are fully saturated.
  3. Insert Seeds: Place 2-3 seeds into the small hole of each saturated planting sponge.
  4. Place Sponges in Baskets: Insert each seeded sponge into a planting basket.
  5. Position Baskets: Place the planting baskets into the designated holes on the top cover of the system.
  6. Add Seeding Covers: Cover each planted basket with a clear seeding cover. These covers help maintain humidity for germination.
  7. Fill Water Tank: Open the water inlet and fill the 6.5-liter water tank with clean water up to the 'MAX' line indicated on the front of the unit.
  8. Add Plant Food: Refer to the instructions on the Plant Food A and B bottles for the correct dosage based on the water volume. Typically, 30ml of each solution is added for 6 liters of water. Shake the solutions well before adding.
  9. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the unit and then into a power outlet. The system will automatically turn on the LED grow light and pump.

4. Operating Instructions

Your MUFGA Hydroponics System is designed for ease of use with automated features.

4.1. LED Grow Light Modes

The system features a 24-watt LED grow light with two distinct modes to support different plant growth stages:

  • Vegetable Mode (Veg): Ideal for leafy greens and herbs. This mode provides a light spectrum optimized for vegetative growth.
  • Fruits & Flower Mode: Suitable for flowering plants and fruiting vegetables. This mode provides a light spectrum that encourages blooming and fruit development.

Use the control panel on the top of the light unit to switch between modes. The light operates on an automatic timer: 16 hours on, 8 hours off.

4.2. Adjustable Height

The LED grow light's height is adjustable up to 17.7 inches (45 cm). As your plants grow taller, slide the light pole upwards to maintain an optimal distance between the light and the plant canopy. This ensures all parts of the plant receive adequate light without burning the leaves.

4.3. Hydroponic Circulation System

The built-in water pump circulates the nutrient solution, ensuring that plant roots receive a continuous supply of water and nutrients. This system also aerates the water, which is crucial for healthy root development. The pump operates automatically according to a preset schedule.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your hydroponics system.

  • Water Level: Monitor the water level indicator on the front of the unit. Refill with fresh water when the level drops.
  • Nutrient Replenishment: Replenish the nutrient solution every 2-3 weeks, or as indicated by plant growth and water consumption. Always follow the dosage instructions on the plant food bottles.
  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the water tank and pump to prevent algae buildup and ensure proper circulation. Disconnect power before cleaning.
  • Plant Support: Use the provided steadying bars to support taller plants as they grow, preventing them from bending or breaking.
  • Light Blocking Stickers: Use the light blocking stickers to cover any unused planting holes. This helps prevent algae growth in the water reservoir.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your system, consider the following common solutions:

  • Slow Growth: Ensure adequate water and nutrient levels. Verify the LED grow light is set to the correct mode (Veg or Fruits & Flower) for your plants and is at an appropriate height.
  • Algae Growth: Algae can form if light reaches the water reservoir. Ensure all unused planting holes are covered with light-blocking stickers and regularly clean the tank.
  • Pump Not Working: Check if the pump is properly plugged into the unit and if the power adapter is connected to a working outlet. Ensure the pump is not clogged with debris.
  • Light Not Turning On: Verify the power connection. If the light was recently turned off, it might be in its 8-hour sleep cycle.
  • Power Outage: A power outage may reset the light timer. You may need to manually adjust the light cycle if this occurs.
