1. Introduction

The eLinkSmart Fingerprint Padlock YL-P5bf-45 offers advanced security with multiple unlocking methods. This biometric padlock features a 45mm long shackle, is weatherproof, and can be managed via fingerprint, a dedicated mobile application, or an iOS smartwatch. It is designed for a wide range of applications, including gym lockers, gates, warehouses, cabinets, sheds, suitcases, and more.

2. Product Features

• Remote Authorization Unlock: Authorize family, friends, or colleagues to unlock remotely. The app supports 1 administrator and over 1000 general users. The administrator can set unlock periods, schedules, and review unlock records. Supports iOS smartwatches.
• Fingerprint Unlock: Your finger is your key, providing quick unlock in 1 second. Records up to 20 different fingerprints, including 2 administrator fingerprints. No reset button; only the administrator can reset or manage fingerprints.
• Long Shackle and Weatherproof: Features a 45mm long shackle for superior cut resistance. Made of zinc alloy with a stainless steel shackle (0.4 cm diameter, 4.5 cm inside length, 2 cm width). IP65 weatherproof rating protects against dust and water.
• Extended Battery Life and USB Charging: Equipped with a rechargeable 110MAH lithium battery, supporting 6 months standby time and over 2000 unlocks. A red light indicates low battery, prompting USB charging.
• Wide Applications: Suitable for outdoor and indoor use, including house doors, gyms, gates, warehouses, cabinets, sheds, suitcases, handbags, boxes, bikes, and more.

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the padlock using the provided USB cable. The charging port is located on the side of the padlock, protected by a rubber seal. A full charge typically takes 40 minutes.

3.2 App Installation and Pairing

1. Scan the QR code provided in the user manual or on the product packaging to download the eSmartLock app from your device's app store (available for iOS and Android).
2. Register an account and log in.
3. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
4. In the app, tap the '+' icon to add a new device. The app will search for nearby eLinkSmart padlocks.
5. Select your padlock from the list to pair it with your device.

3.3 Fingerprint Registration

Once paired, you can register fingerprints through the app. The padlock supports up to 20 fingerprints, including two administrator fingerprints.

1. In the eSmartLock app, navigate to 'Fingerprint Management'.
2. Tap 'Add Fingerprint' and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Place your finger on the padlock's fingerprint sensor, lifting and reapplying it as prompted by the app until the registration is complete. Ensure your fingers are clean and dry for optimal recognition.
4. Assign a name to each registered fingerprint for easy identification.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Unlocking with Fingerprint

To unlock the padlock using a registered fingerprint, simply place your finger on the fingerprint sensor. The padlock will unlock in approximately 1 second if the fingerprint is recognized.

4.2 Unlocking with Mobile App

Ensure your smartphone is within Bluetooth range of the padlock and the eSmartLock app is open and connected to the padlock.

1. Open the eSmartLock app.
2. Tap the 'Unlock' button on the main screen. The padlock will disengage.

4.3 Unlocking with iOS Smartwatch

If you have an iOS smartwatch paired with your smartphone and the eSmartLock app, you can unlock the padlock directly from your smartwatch interface.

4.4 User Management and Authorization

The administrator can manage users and grant temporary or scheduled access through the eSmartLock app.

• Adding Users: In the app, navigate to 'Authorization Management' to invite new users and set their access permissions.
• Scheduling Access: Set specific timeframes during which authorized users can unlock the padlock.
• Viewing Records: The app maintains a history record of all unlock events, including time, method, and user name.
• Transferring Admin Rights: The administrator can transfer their rights to another user if needed.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Charging

When the padlock's battery is low (indicated by a red light), connect it to a USB power source using the provided cable. A full charge takes approximately 40 minutes and provides up to 6 months of standby time or over 2000 unlocks.

5.2 Cleaning and Care

The padlock is IP65 weatherproof, protecting it from dust and water. However, for optimal performance, keep the fingerprint sensor clean and dry. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials for cleaning.

6. Troubleshooting

• Padlock not unlocking with fingerprint: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering your fingerprint through the app. Verify that the padlock has sufficient battery charge.
• App not connecting to padlock: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the padlock is within range. Try restarting the app and/or your device.
• Low battery indication: If the red light flashes, charge the padlock immediately using the provided USB cable.
• Padlock unresponsive: If the padlock becomes unresponsive, connect it to a power source to check if it's a battery issue. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
• Fingerprint recognition issues after swimming: Water can affect fingerprint recognition. Ensure your fingers are completely dry before attempting to unlock. Use the app or smartwatch unlock as an alternative if needed.
