Setup and Pairing

Pairing with Nintendo Switch

Follow these steps to pair your SAFFUN wireless controller with your Nintendo Switch console:

  1. Enable Pro Controller Wired Communication:

    Using your original Switch controller, navigate to System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Pro Controller Wired Communication. Ensure this option is set to "ON". This allows the Switch to communicate with the USB receiver.

  2. Plug in the USB Receiver:

    Insert the 2.4 GHz USB receiver into an available USB port on your Nintendo Switch dock. The LED on the receiver will begin flashing.

  3. Activate Receiver Sync Mode:

    Press and hold the "SYNC" button on the USB receiver until its LED begins fast-blinking. This indicates it's ready to pair.

  4. Reset the Controller:

    Locate the small "Reset" button on the top of the controller (near the Type C port) and press it. The LED indicator on the controller will start flashing.

  5. Connect the Controller:

    Press the "Start" button on the controller. Wait for the LED on the controller to stay lit, indicating a successful connection. The controller is now connected and ready for use.

Pairing with PC/Mac/Linux/Raspberry Pi

For other compatible devices, the pairing process is generally simpler:

  1. Plug in the USB Receiver:

    Insert the 2.4 GHz USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer or device. The LED on the receiver will begin flashing.

  2. Reset the Controller:

    Press the "Reset" button on the top of the controller. The controller's LED will flash.

  3. Connect the Controller:

    Press the "Start" button on the controller. The LED on the controller should become solid, indicating a successful connection. Your device should recognize the controller as a standard USB gamepad.

Operating Instructions

Basic Controls

The controller functions as a standard gamepad. Refer to your game's control settings for specific button mappings. The 3D analog stick provides proportional control, while the D-pad offers digital input.

Special Modes (Nintendo Switch NSO)

For optimal experience with Nintendo Switch Online N64 games, the controller supports an "All Star Mode" which maps the C-buttons to their original N64 functionalities, including rumble pak support.

Rumble Functionality

The controller includes a built-in immersive rumble motor. Rumble support is available in compatible games, eliminating the need for a separate Rumble Pak.

Charging and Battery Life

The controller is equipped with a rechargeable Li-Polymer battery (Model/Type reference: 602535, Ratings: 3.7VDC, 1.85Wh (500mAh)).

Auto Shutoff Feature

To conserve battery, the controller will automatically turn off after approximately 2-5 minutes of inactivity. To wake up and reconnect, press the "Start" button twice.

Troubleshooting
