  2. Filling the Water Tank:
    • Ensure the iron is unplugged from the mains.
    • Open the water filling inlet.
    • Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.
    • Close the water filling inlet securely.
  3. Connecting to Power: Plug the iron's power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective ironing:

  1. Temperature Setting: Turn the temperature dial to select the appropriate temperature for your fabric type. Refer to the fabric care labels on your garments. The iron will heat up, and the indicator light will turn off when the desired temperature is reached.
  2. Steam Ironing: For steam ironing, ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature is set to the steam zone (usually indicated on the dial).
    • Continuous Steam: Adjust the steam control slider to the desired steam level.
    • Steam Boost: Press the steam boost button for an extra burst of steam to tackle stubborn creases. Wait a few seconds between each burst.
  3. Dry Ironing: For dry ironing, ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control slider is set to the 'no steam' position. Select the appropriate temperature.
  4. Vertical Steaming: The iron can be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments or curtains. Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from the fabric and press the steam boost button.
  5. After Use: Unplug the iron from the mains. Allow the iron to cool down completely before storing.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your iron:

  • Emptying the Water Tank: After each use, unplug the iron and empty any remaining water from the tank once the iron has cooled down.
  • Cleaning the Soleplate:
    • Allow the soleplate to cool completely.
    • Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
    • Do not use abrasive pads, scouring powders, or harsh chemicals as these can damage the soleplate.
  • Anti-Calc System (Self-Clean): Your iron is equipped with an anti-calc system. Refer to the specific instructions for activating the self-clean function in the full product manual if available, or perform a self-clean cycle periodically to remove mineral deposits.
  • Storage: Store the iron upright on its heel rest in a dry place, with the cord neatly wrapped.
