Control Panel (Top/Rear)
- Power Button: Press and hold to turn on/off.
- Mode Button (M): Short press to switch between Bluetooth, TF Card, USB, AUX, and FM modes.
- Play/Pause Button (▶⏸): Short press to play or pause music. In FM mode, short press to auto-scan and save stations.
- Volume Down / Previous Track (-): Short press for previous track. Long press to decrease volume.
- Volume Up / Next Track (+): Short press for next track. Long press to increase volume.
Ports (Rear/Side)
- USB Port: For USB flash drive playback.
- TF Card Slot: For TF (MicroSD) card playback.
- AUX Port: For connecting external audio devices via 3.5mm audio cable.
- Charging Port: For charging the speaker's internal battery.
Setup
Charging the Speaker
- Connect the USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (5V/1A recommended) or a computer's USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
- A full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.
Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until you hear a power-on prompt.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button again for a few seconds until you hear a power-off prompt.
Operating Instructions
Bluetooth Mode
- Turn on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED light.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- Search for "HC5" in the list of available Bluetooth devices and select it to connect.
- Once connected, the LED indicator will stop flashing, and you will hear a connection tone.
- You can now play audio from your device through the speaker.
- Use the Play/Pause, Volume Up/Down, and Previous/Next Track buttons on the speaker or your device to control playback.
TF Card / USB Mode
- Insert a TF (MicroSD) card or USB flash drive into the corresponding slot on the speaker.
- The speaker will automatically switch to TF Card or USB mode and begin playing audio files. If not, short press the "M" (Mode) button to switch.
- Ensure your audio files are in a compatible format (e.g., MP3).
- Use the Play/Pause, Volume Up/Down, and Previous/Next Track buttons to control playback.
AUX Mode
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX cable to the speaker's AUX port.
- Connect the other end to the audio output jack of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, computer).
- The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. If not, short press the "M" (Mode) button to switch.
- Audio will now play through the speaker. Control playback from your external device.
FM Radio Mode
- Short press the "M" (Mode) button until you enter FM radio mode.
- To auto-scan and save available FM stations, short press the Play/Pause button. The speaker will scan and store stations automatically.
- Use the Previous/Next Track buttons to navigate between saved stations.
TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Function (If Supported)
The Hoco HC5 speaker supports TWS function, allowing you to pair two HC5 speakers together for a true stereo sound experience.
- Ensure both HC5 speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
- On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), long press the Play/Pause button until you hear a prompt indicating TWS pairing mode.
- The two speakers will automatically search for and connect to each other. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone.
- Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in the "Bluetooth Mode" section.
- Audio will now play in stereo through both speakers.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the surface of the speaker. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use.
Troubleshooting
