4.2. Oscillators (VCOs)
The PRO-800 features two Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) per voice, Oscillator A and Oscillator B, which are the primary sound sources.
- FREQUENCY: Adjusts the pitch of the oscillator.
- SHAPE: Selects the waveform (e.g., sawtooth, square, pulse).
- PULSE WIDTH: Modifies the pulse width of square waves, creating timbral changes.
- LEVEL: Controls the volume of each oscillator before it enters the filter.
- SYNC: Synchronizes Oscillator B to Oscillator A for hard sync effects.
- FINE: Provides fine-tuning for Oscillator B relative to Oscillator A.

4.3. Filter (VCF)
The Voltage Controlled Filter (VCF) shapes the harmonic content of the sound.
- CUTOFF: Determines the frequency at which the filter begins to attenuate harmonics.
- RESONANCE: Boosts frequencies around the cutoff point, creating a distinctive "peak" or "wah" effect.
- ENVELOPE AMOUNT: Controls how much the filter envelope affects the cutoff frequency.
- KEYBOARD: Adjusts how much the keyboard tracking affects the cutoff frequency.
4.4. Envelopes (ADSR)
The PRO-800 features two ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) envelope generators, one for the filter and one for the amplifier.
- ATTACK: Controls the time it takes for the sound to reach its peak level after a key is pressed.
- DECAY: Controls the time it takes for the sound to fall from its peak to the sustain level.
- SUSTAIN: Determines the level at which the sound remains as long as the key is held down.
- RELEASE: Controls the time it takes for the sound to fade out after the key is released.
4.5. Arpeggiator and Sequencer
The PRO-800 includes an arpeggiator and sequencer for dynamic performance and composition.
- Arpeggiator: Press the "ARP UP-ON" button to activate the arpeggiator. Held notes will be played sequentially.
- Sequencer: The sequencer allows you to record and playback melodic phrases. Refer to the full manual for detailed recording and playback instructions.
