Before you begin, please check the package for the following items:

Setup

1. Connecting the Phone

  1. Connect one end of the coiled handset cord to the handset and the other end to the handset jack on the side of the phone base unit.
  2. Connect one end of the line cord to the LINE jack on the back of the phone base unit.
  3. Connect the other end of the line cord to your telephone wall jack.

2. Battery Installation (for LCD and Memory)

The phone requires 1 AAA battery for the LCD display and memory functions. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the phone. Insert the AAA battery, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Initial Settings (Date and Time)

After connecting the phone and installing batteries, the LCD will display the current time and date. If incorrect, refer to the 'Setting Date and Time' section under Operating Instructions to adjust these settings.

Operating Instructions

Making a Call

  • Lift the handset or press the SPEAKER button.
  • Dial the desired phone number using the keypad.
  • To end the call, replace the handset or press the SPEAKER button again.

Receiving a Call

  • When the phone rings, lift the handset or press the SPEAKER button to answer.
  • To end the call, replace the handset or press the SPEAKER button.

Using the Two-Way Speakerphone

The phone features a two-way speakerphone for hands-free communication.

  • During a call, press the SPEAKER button to activate the speakerphone. You can then place the handset back on the cradle.
  • To switch back to the handset, simply lift the handset.
  • To adjust speaker volume, use the VOL buttons during a speakerphone call.

16-Digit LCD Display

The phone is equipped with a 16-digit green backlit LCD display. This display shows incoming caller ID information, dialed numbers, call duration, date, and time.

In-Use LED Indicator

A red LED indicator light illuminates when the phone line is in use, preventing accidental interruptions. It also flashes to indicate an incoming call.

One-Touch Memory Dialing

The phone allows you to store up to 8 frequently called numbers for quick dialing using the M1-M8 buttons.

Storing a Number:

  1. Lift the handset or press SPEAKER.
  2. Press the STORE button.
  3. Dial the phone number you wish to store.
  4. Press one of the memory buttons (M1-M8) to save the number.

Dialing a Stored Number:

  • Lift the handset or press SPEAKER.
  • Press the desired memory button (M1-M8). The number will be dialed automatically.

Caller ID (DTMF/FSK Compatible)

The phone supports both DTMF and FSK caller ID systems, displaying the incoming caller's number and name (if available and subscribed to the service from your provider).

Viewing Incoming Calls:

  • When a call comes in, the caller's information will be displayed on the LCD.
  • Use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to scroll through the incoming call history.

Call History (Incoming & Outgoing)

The phone stores up to 30 incoming calls and 15 outgoing calls in its memory.

  • Press the IN/OUT button to switch between incoming and outgoing call lists.
  • Use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to navigate through the call records.
  • To redial a number from the call history, select the number and lift the handset or press SPEAKER.

Music on Hold

When you need to place a caller on hold, press the HOLD button. The phone will play soothing music to the caller. To resume the call, press the HOLD button again or lift the handset.

Flash Function

The FLASH button is used for certain network services like call waiting or transferring calls, depending on your telephone service provider's features. Pressing it briefly will activate these services.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the phone's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the phone in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Replacement: If the LCD display becomes dim or memory functions are lost, replace the AAA battery in the compartment on the underside of the phone.

Troubleshooting

No Dial Tone

  • Ensure the line cord is securely connected to both the phone and the wall jack.
  • Test the wall jack with another working phone to confirm the line is active.

No Display on LCD

  • Check if the AAA battery is correctly installed and not depleted. Replace if necessary.

Caller ID Not Displaying

  • Ensure you have subscribed to Caller ID service from your telephone service provider.
  • Verify the phone is connected to a compatible DTMF/FSK line.

Speakerphone Volume is Low

  • Use the VOL buttons during a speakerphone call to increase the volume.
