To clean your lantern, wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components. Ensure the battery compartment is sealed before cleaning.

When the light output diminishes significantly, it is time to replace the D-cell batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.1 to replace old batteries with new ones. Always dispose of used batteries responsibly.
5.3 Storage
If storing the lantern for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the device. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
6. Troubleshooting
- Lantern does not turn on: Ensure batteries are correctly installed with proper polarity. Check if batteries are depleted and replace if necessary.
- Light is dim: Replace batteries with fresh D-cell batteries.
