  • Air Cooler: Install your CPU air cooler, ensuring it does not exceed 160mm in height.
  • Liquid Cooler (AIO): For 240mm AIO radiators, mount them at the top of the case. Ensure radiator thickness is within 27mm and fan thickness up to 25mm, with memory height up to 38mm.
  • Additional Fans: Install additional 120mm or 140mm fans as needed in the front, top, or rear positions.

3.7 Cable Management

Utilize the 25mm space behind the motherboard tray and the various cable routing cutouts to organize cables. This improves airflow and aesthetics.

4. Operating the ARGB Lighting System

The BitFenix Nova Mesh mATX ARGB case comes with three pre-installed ARGB fans and a controller for managing the lighting effects.

4.1 ARGB Control Options

  • Case Button Control: The pre-installed ARGB controller can be connected to the case's front RGB switch (often the reset button). Pressing this button will cycle through various ARGB lighting modes and colors.
  • Motherboard Sync: If your motherboard supports Addressable RGB (aRGB) with a 3-pin 5V header, you can connect the controller to your motherboard. This allows you to synchronize the case lighting with other ARGB components using your motherboard's software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync, BIOSTAR RGB Sync).

4.2 Fan Speed Control (PWM)

The included controller also supports PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) for fan speed control. Connect the fan PWM cables to the controller, and the controller's PWM cable to a motherboard fan header. This allows your motherboard to dynamically adjust fan speeds based on system temperature.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your PC case and components.

5.1 Dust Filter Cleaning

Dual dust filter system diagram

  • Front Panel Filter: The front panel is removable for easy access to the dust filter. Gently pull the bottom of the front panel to detach it, then remove and clean the filter.
  • Top Magnetic Filter: The magnetic dust filter on the top of the case can be easily lifted off for cleaning.
  • PSU Dust Filter: The dust filter located at the bottom, beneath the PSU, slides out for cleaning.
  • Cleaning Method: Use compressed air or a soft brush to remove accumulated dust from the filters. Wash with water if necessary, ensuring they are completely dry before reinstallation.

5.2 General Cleaning

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Interior: Periodically use compressed air to clear dust from internal components and fan blades. Ensure the PC is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

6. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your PC case.

6.1 Fans Not Spinning or RGB Not Working

  • Power Connection: Ensure the ARGB controller is properly connected to a SATA power cable from your PSU.
  • Fan Connections: Verify that all fan PWM and ARGB cables are securely connected to the controller.
  • Motherboard Sync: If using motherboard sync, ensure the controller's ARGB cable is connected to the correct 3-pin 5V aRGB header on your motherboard (not a 4-pin 12V RGB header). Check your motherboard's software for ARGB control.
  • Case Button: If using the case button for control, ensure it is correctly wired to the controller. Try pressing the button to cycle through modes.

6.2 Poor Airflow or High Temperatures

  • Dust Filters: Clean all dust filters as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Fan Orientation: Verify that fans are oriented correctly for optimal airflow (front fans typically intake, rear/top fans exhaust).
  • Cable Management: Improve cable management to reduce obstructions to airflow.
  • Component Clearance: Ensure no components are blocking fan intakes or exhausts.

6.3 Side Panel Difficult to Close

  • Cable Routing: Check for any cables that are bulging or obstructing the side panel. Reroute them through the cable management channels.
  • Component Placement: Ensure all components are seated correctly and not extending beyond the case's internal dimensions.
