This manual provides detailed instructions for the OMOTON Wired Gaming Keyboard. Please read this manual carefully before using the product to ensure proper operation and longevity. This keyboard is designed for use with PC, desktop, and computer systems, offering a full-size layout with advanced gaming features.

Product Features

• Rainbow LED Backlighting: Features 3 distinct lighting modes and adjustable brightness levels, providing vivid experiences for gaming and improved visibility in low-light conditions. The backlight can also be turned off for office work.
• High-Quality 104-Key Full-Size Keyboard: Constructed with an all-metal base and highly-resistant ABS plastic keycaps, ensuring longevity and durability. The integrated number pad significantly enhances productivity for various tasks.

Setup

Connecting the Keyboard

1. Locate an available USB port on your computer (PC, Desktop, or Laptop).
2. Plug the USB connector of the OMOTON Wired Gaming Keyboard firmly into the USB port.
3. The keyboard is designed for plug-and-play functionality and typically does not require additional driver installation for basic operation. Your operating system should automatically detect and configure the device.

Operating Instructions

LED Backlight Control

• Light Mode Switching: Press Fn + Scroll Lock to cycle through the 3 available lighting modes.
• Increase Brightness: Press Fn + Page Up to increase the intensity of the LED backlighting.
• Decrease Brightness: Press Fn + Page Down to decrease the intensity of the LED backlighting. Continue pressing to turn off the backlight.

Multimedia Hotkeys

The keyboard is equipped with 12 dedicated multimedia hotkeys. These functions are activated by pressing the Fn key in conjunction with the corresponding function key (F1-F12).

Maintenance

Cleaning the Keyboard

• Always disconnect the keyboard from your computer before performing any cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution to gently wipe the surface of the keyboard. Avoid excessive moisture.
• For thorough cleaning, especially to remove debris from underneath the keys, the keycaps are removable. Carefully use the included keycap puller to detach the keycaps. Clean the exposed areas with compressed air or a small brush.
• Ensure all parts of the keyboard are completely dry before reattaching keycaps and reconnecting the keyboard to your computer.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

• Keyboard not responding:
  • Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged into both the keyboard and an active USB port on your computer.
  • Try plugging the keyboard into a different USB port on your computer to rule out a faulty port.
  • Restart your computer. This can often resolve minor connectivity issues.
• LED backlighting not working or stuck:
  • Verify that the keyboard is properly connected and receiving power.
  • Use the Fn + Page Up and Fn + Page Down keys to adjust brightness levels. Ensure brightness is not set to minimum.
  • Press Fn + Scroll Lock to cycle through the lighting modes.
  • If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect the keyboard.
• Keys not registering or experiencing ghosting:
  • Ensure the keyboard is clean and free of any debris or foreign objects lodged under the keycaps. Refer to the Maintenance section for cleaning instructions.
  • While the keyboard features 26-key anti-ghosting, extremely rapid or complex simultaneous key presses might still have limitations depending on the operating system or application.
  • Test the keyboard on another computer to determine if the issue is with the keyboard itself or the original system.
