1. Important Safety Information

2. Product Overview

The Monogram ZWE23NSTSS is a 23.1 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth French-Door Refrigerator designed for modern kitchens. It features a spacious interior with advanced cooling technologies and convenient storage solutions.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective films. Dispose of packaging responsibly.

3.2 Location Requirements

Place the refrigerator on a level, sturdy floor capable of supporting its weight. Ensure adequate clearance around the appliance for proper ventilation (refer to dimensional drawing in Section 6 for specific clearances).

3.3 Electrical Connection

Connect the refrigerator to a dedicated 115V, 20A grounded electrical outlet. Do not use an adapter or extension cord.

3.4 Water Connection (for Internal Dispenser)

Connect the refrigerator to a cold water supply line using a copper or braided stainless steel line. Flush the water system before initial use.

3.5 Handle Installation

Note: This refrigerator does not come with handles. Handles must be chosen and ordered separately from the Monogram Statement or Minimalist Collection. Follow the instructions provided with your chosen handles for proper installation.

3.6 Initial Startup

After installation, allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 4 hours before plugging it in. Once plugged in, allow 24 hours for the appliance to reach optimal operating temperatures.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Temperature Control

The temperature controls are located inside the fresh food compartment. Use the digital display to set desired temperatures for both the refrigerator and freezer sections. Recommended settings are 37°F (3°C) for the refrigerator and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer.

4.2 Internal Water Dispenser

To dispense water, open the left fresh food door and press a glass against the dispenser paddle located on the inside wall. The dispenser will automatically shut off when the paddle is released.

4.3 TwinChill™ Evaporators

This refrigerator features two separate evaporators, one for the fresh food section and one for the freezer. This technology helps maintain optimal humidity levels in each compartment, keeping foods fresher for longer and preventing odor transfer.

4.4 Quick Space Shelf

The Quick Space shelf can be easily adjusted or slid back to create instant storage flexibility for tall items. To adjust, simply lift the front edge and slide the shelf section backward.

4.5 Showcase LED Lighting

The interior is illuminated by energy-efficient LED lighting, providing bright and clear visibility of all contents in both the fresh food and freezer compartments.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1 Cleaning

• Interior: Clean interior surfaces with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
• Exterior: Wipe stainless steel surfaces with a clean cloth and a stainless steel cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Door Gaskets: Clean door gaskets regularly with a mild detergent and warm water to ensure a proper seal.

5.2 Water Filter Replacement

The internal water dispenser uses a water filter. Replace the filter approximately every six months, or when the filter indicator light illuminates, to ensure optimal water quality. Refer to the filter's instructions for specific replacement steps.

5.3 Power Outages

In case of a power outage, keep the refrigerator and freezer doors closed to maintain internal temperatures for as long as possible. Avoid opening the doors unnecessarily.

6. Troubleshooting

Before calling for service, review the following common issues and their potential solutions:

• Refrigerator Not Cooling: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in. Ensure temperature controls are set correctly. Check for obstructions to airflow.
• Unusual Noises: Normal operating noises include fan sounds, defrost cycles, and water flowing. If noises are excessive, ensure the refrigerator is level and not touching walls.
• Water Leaks: Check water line connections for tightness. Ensure the drain pan is not overflowing.
• Internal Water Dispenser Not Working: Check if the water supply valve is open. Ensure the water filter is correctly installed and not clogged.
