This manual provides instructions for the HCDZ Replacement Remote Control, designed for use with various Perfect Aire portable air conditioner models. This remote is an infrared (IR) replacement and requires no programming.
Compatible Perfect Aire Models: 2PAMSDH09, 2PAMSDH12, 2PAMSDH18, 2PAMSDH24, 2PAMSHQC12, 2PAMSHQC18, 2PAMSHQC24, 2PAMSHQC36, 2PAMSHQC18-16.

Setup
The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included). No programming is needed; the remote will function immediately after battery installation.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the battery compartment cover downwards to open it.
- Insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Operating Instructions
Point the remote control directly at the air conditioner's receiver when operating.
- ON/OFF: Press to power the air conditioner on or off.
- MODE: Press to cycle through operating modes (e.g., Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, Auto).
- TEMP ▲ / ▼: Press to increase or decrease the set temperature.
- FAN: Press to adjust the fan speed.
- TIMER ON: Press to set a timer for the unit to turn on.
- TIMER OFF: Press to set a timer for the unit to turn off.
- SLEEP: Activates or deactivates sleep mode for energy-efficient operation during sleep.
- SWING: Controls the louver swing function.
- DIRECT: Adjusts the louver direction.
- TURBO: Activates or deactivates rapid cooling/heating.
- LED: Turns the display light on the air conditioner unit on or off.
- SHORT CUT: (Function may vary by air conditioner model) Typically recalls a favorite setting.
Switching Between Celsius and Fahrenheit
To switch the temperature display between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉), press the TEMP ▲ and TEMP ▼ buttons simultaneously.
Maintenance
- Storage: Do not leave the remote control in areas with extremely high temperatures or high humidity.
- Battery Replacement: When replacing batteries, always use two new AAA batteries. Do not mix new batteries with old ones.
- Long-Term Storage: If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent potential damage from battery leakage and corrosion.
Troubleshooting
- Remote Not Responding:
- Ensure new AAA batteries are correctly installed.
- Check if the remote control is pointed directly at the air conditioner's infrared receiver.
- Verify there are no obstructions between the remote and the air conditioner.
- Interference: Do not expose the remote control's sensor to direct sunlight or strong lighting apparatuses, as this may cause a malfunction.
