3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Powering On the Hub
- Connect the provided USB cable to the USB port on the hub.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included) and then into a power outlet.
- The indicator light on the hub will illuminate, indicating it is powered on.
3.2 Installing the Smart Life / Tuya Smart App
- Download the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" app from your mobile device's app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android).
- Alternatively, scan the QR code provided in Figure 3 to directly access the app download page.
- Register or log in to your account within the app.

3.3 Adding the Hub to the App
- Open the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app.
- Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
- Select "Gateway" or "Control Hub" from the device list, then choose "Wireless Gateway (ZigBee)".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the hub to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your mobile device is also connected to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during this process. Note: The hub does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi networks.
- Once successfully added, the hub will appear in your device list.
3.4 Adding ZigBee Sub-Devices
- In the app, tap on the added ZigBee hub.
- Select "Add sub-device" or a similar option.
- Put your ZigBee device into pairing mode (refer to the specific device's manual for instructions).
- The app will search for and discover nearby ZigBee devices.
- Once discovered, add the device and assign it a name and room if desired.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Remote Control via App
After successfully adding your ZigBee devices to the hub through the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app, you can control them remotely from anywhere with an internet connection. The app provides an interface to turn devices on/off, adjust settings, and monitor their status.
4.2 Voice Control Integration
The Gaoducash ZigBee hub supports voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. To enable this feature:
- Ensure your hub and ZigBee devices are properly configured in the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app.
- Open the Amazon Alexa or Google Home app.
- Navigate to the "Skills & Games" (Alexa) or "Works with Google" (Google Home) section.
- Search for and enable the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" skill/service.
- Link your Smart Life/Tuya Smart account with Alexa/Google Home.
- Discover devices. Once linked, you can use voice commands such as "Alexa, turn on the light" or "Hey Google, turn on the AC."

4.3 Smart Home Automation
The hub enables the creation of automated routines and scenes. Sub-devices connected to the gateway can act as triggers or actions for interactions between ZigBee and Wi-Fi devices. For example, a ZigBee motion sensor can trigger a Wi-Fi light bulb to turn on. Configure these automations within the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app's "Smart" or "Automation" section.

5.1 Firmware Updates (OTA)
The hub supports Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware updates. The Smart Life/Tuya Smart app will notify you when new firmware versions are available. It is recommended to keep your hub's firmware updated to ensure optimal performance, security, and compatibility with new devices.

5.2 Resetting the Hub
If you encounter persistent issues or wish to reconfigure your hub, you can perform a factory reset. Locate the reset button (refer to Figure 2 for location) and press and hold it for approximately 5-10 seconds until the indicator light changes, indicating a reset. This will clear all pairing information and restore the hub to its factory settings.

- Keep the hub in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid placing the hub near large metal objects or other sources of interference that could affect wireless signal strength.
