3. Setup Guide
Binding the Receiver
The FS-SR12 receiver needs to be bound to a compatible transmitter (e.g., FS-ST8) that supports the ANT protocol. Follow these steps:
- Ensure both the transmitter and receiver are powered off.
- Connect the BIND cable (or a bind plug) to the BIND/VCC interface on the receiver.
- Power on the receiver. The LED indicator should flash rapidly, indicating it is in binding mode.
- Put your transmitter into binding mode (refer to your transmitter's manual for specific instructions).
- Once the binding is successful, the LED on the receiver will turn solid.
- Power off both the receiver and transmitter, then power them back on to confirm the connection.

Connecting Peripherals
The FS-SR12 supports 12 PWM channels, as well as PPM, i-BUS, and S.BUS data outputs. Connect your servos, ESCs, and other peripherals to the corresponding channels.
- PWM Channels (1-12): Connect servos or Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs) to these ports.
- PPM/i-BUS/S.BUS: Use the designated port for digital signal output to compatible flight controllers or other devices.
- BVD (Battery Voltage Detection): Connect the BVD harness to the BVD/VCC interface to monitor battery voltage.

4. Operation
Basic Operation
Once the receiver is successfully bound to your transmitter and all peripherals are connected, power on your model. The receiver will establish a connection with the transmitter, allowing you to control your model.
Two-Way Transmission and Telemetry
The FS-SR12 supports two-way transmission, enabling the receiver to send data back to the transmitter. This includes telemetry data such as battery voltage (via BVD function) and signal strength, providing real-time feedback during operation.
BVD Function
The Battery Voltage Detection (BVD) function allows you to monitor the voltage of your model's battery directly from your compatible Flysky transmitter. Ensure the BVD harness is correctly connected to the BVD/VCC interface on the receiver and the battery.
5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your FS-SR12 receiver, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the receiver clean and free from dust, dirt, and moisture.
- Avoid exposing the receiver to extreme temperatures outside its specified range (-10°C to +60°C).
- Ensure the humidity range (20% ~ 95%) is respected to prevent condensation or moisture damage.
- Regularly inspect the antennas for any damage or kinks. Ensure they are positioned correctly for optimal signal reception.
- Check all wire connections for secure fitment and signs of wear.
- Store the receiver in a dry, cool place when not in use.
6. Troubleshooting
No Signal / Loss of Control
- Check Binding: Ensure the receiver is correctly bound to your transmitter. Re-bind if necessary.
- Power Supply: Verify that the receiver is receiving adequate power (3.5~9V/DC) and that the power source is stable.
- Antenna Placement: Ensure antennas are not obstructed by carbon fiber or metal parts and are positioned at a 90-degree angle to each other for best reception.
- Distance: Operate within the specified distance (> 1500m air distance without interference).
- Interference: Avoid operating near strong sources of 2.4GHz interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other RC systems).
LED Indicator Behavior
- Rapid Flashing: Receiver is in binding mode.
- Solid On: Receiver is successfully bound and receiving signal.
- Slow Flashing: Signal loss or no connection with transmitter.
Incorrect Channel Output
- Transmitter Setup: Verify channel assignments and mixing settings on your transmitter.
- Receiver Mode: Ensure the receiver is outputting the correct signal type (PWM/PPM/i-BUS/S.BUS) for your connected device.
