4. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the panini press from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Inspect: Check the appliance for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
- Clean Plates: Before first use, wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly.
- Position: Place the panini press on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface, away from walls and flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Drip Tray: Ensure the removable drip tray is correctly inserted into its slot at the front of the unit to collect any excess grease or liquids during cooking.
5. Operating Instructions
- Preheat: Plug the appliance into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. The red "Power" indicator light will illuminate. Allow the grill to preheat until the green "Ready" indicator light turns on, signaling it has reached the optimal cooking temperature. This typically takes a few minutes.
- Prepare Food: While preheating, prepare your sandwiches or other food items. Lightly brush the cooking plates with a small amount of cooking oil or butter if desired, though the non-stick surface generally does not require it.
- Place Food: Carefully open the lid using the cool-touch handle. Place your food onto the bottom cooking plate. The floating hinge design allows the top plate to adjust to the thickness of your food, ensuring even cooking.
- Grill: Gently lower the top plate onto the food. The green "Ready" light may turn off as the temperature adjusts, and will re-illuminate once the set temperature is reached again.
- Monitor: Cook for 3-8 minutes, or until desired doneness and grill marks are achieved. Cooking times may vary based on food type and thickness.
- Remove Food: Once cooked, carefully lift the lid and remove the food using a heat-resistant, non-metallic utensil to avoid scratching the non-stick coating.
- Repeat: Close the lid to maintain heat for subsequent batches, or unplug the appliance if finished.

- Remove Drip Tray: Slide out the removable drip tray and empty its contents. Wash the drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Clean Cooking Plates: Wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn food residue, use a small amount of mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils, as these can damage the non-stick coating.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Once clean and dry, the panini press can be stored vertically to save space. Ensure the lid is securely closed.
