4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your dehumidifier for first use:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. If damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact customer support.
  2. Placement: Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface in the desired location. Ensure there is at least 12 inches (30 cm) of clear space around all sides of the unit to allow for proper air circulation. Do not place the unit against a wall or near curtains that could obstruct airflow.
  3. Drain Hose Connection: Locate the drain port on the unit. Connect the provided 16.4 ft (5 meter) drain hose to the drain port. Ensure the connection is secure to prevent leaks. Position the other end of the hose to drain into a suitable location, such as a floor drain, sink, or outside. Ensure the hose is not kinked or elevated above the unit's drain port, as this will impede drainage.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet that meets the unit's power requirements (refer to the specifications section).
