3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your JLab Epic Wireless Keyboard using the provided USB-C charging cable. Connect the USB-C end to the keyboard's charging port and the USB-A end to a compatible power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter).

3.2 Connecting Your Keyboard

The Epic Wireless Keyboard supports connectivity with up to three devices via 2.4GHz USB wireless dongle or Bluetooth 5.2.

3.2.1 2.4GHz USB Wireless Dongle Connection

1. Locate the 2.4GHz USB wireless dongle. It is typically stored in a compartment on the underside of the keyboard or included separately in the packaging.
2. Plug the USB dongle into an available USB-A port on your computer or compatible device.
3. Turn on the keyboard using the power switch located on the top left edge.
4. Press the 2.4 key on the keyboard. The indicator light above the key will illuminate, confirming the connection.

3.2.2 Bluetooth Connection (BT1 / BT2)

1. Turn on the keyboard using the power switch.
2. Press and hold either the BT1 or BT2 key for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light above the key begins to flash rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
3. On your device (Laptop, PC, Tablet), navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
4. Select "JLab Epic Keyboard" from the list of available devices to pair.
5. Once connected, the indicator light above the selected BT key will stop flashing and remain solid.

You can pair up to two Bluetooth devices using the BT1 and BT2 keys, in addition to the 2.4GHz dongle connection.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Switching Between Devices

To switch between connected devices, simply press the corresponding connectivity key (2.4, BT1, or BT2). The keyboard will automatically connect to the selected device.

4.2 Backlit Keys

The keyboard features backlit keys for improved visibility in various lighting conditions. Use the dedicated backlight control keys (usually function keys with light bulb icons) to adjust brightness or turn the backlight on/off.

4.3 Smart Media Knob

The Smart Media Knob, located on the top right of the keyboard, provides quick control over your audio. Rotate the knob to adjust volume. Press the knob to play/pause media. Some functions may be customizable via the JLab Work App.

6.1 Connectivity Issues

• Keyboard not connecting: Ensure the keyboard is powered on and fully charged. For 2.4GHz, verify the USB dongle is securely plugged in and the 2.4 key is selected. For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode (flashing BT1/BT2 light) and visible in your device's Bluetooth settings.
• Lag or dropped connection: Try moving the keyboard closer to your device. Ensure there are no major obstructions or sources of interference (e.g., other wireless devices, large metal objects). Re-pair the device if necessary.
