1. Introduction

The Hercules DJControl Inpulse T7 is a 2-deck motorized DJ controller designed to provide an authentic vinyl turntable experience combined with digital technology. 3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the DJControl Inpulse T7 from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Ensure all components, including the controller, USB cable, power adapter, and 7-inch vinyl records/slipmats, are present.

3.2 Connecting to a Computer

  1. Connect the provided USB cable from the DJControl Inpulse T7 to an available USB port on your computer.
  2. Connect the power adapter to the controller and then to a power outlet.
  3. Install the necessary DJ software (Serato DJ Lite or DJUCED) on your computer. Drivers may be automatically installed with the software or require a separate download from the Hercules website.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Motorized Platters

The 7-inch motorized platters simulate the feel of traditional vinyl turntables. They accelerate from 0 to 33⅓ RPM in a tenth of a second. You can manipulate the playback by touching the vinyl record's label or the ring around the platter to slow down or speed up tracks. Pausing and playing can be achieved by placing or removing your fingers from the vinyl record.

4.2 Mixer Controls

The central mixer section provides comprehensive control over your audio:

  • EQ Knobs: Adjust the High, Mid, and Low frequencies for each deck.
  • Gain Knobs: Control the input level for each deck.
  • Filter Knobs: Apply high-pass or low-pass filters to each deck.
  • Volume Faders: Adjust the volume for each deck.
  • Crossfader: Blend between Deck 1 and Deck 2.
  • VU Meters: Monitor audio levels for each deck and the master output.
  • FX Section: Utilize 3 FX per deck, an FX paddle, a dry/wet knob, and beat parameter controls for creative effects.

4.3 Performance Pads and Stems Control

The 16 backlit RGB pads offer various performance modes, including Hot Cue, Loop, Stems, and Sampler. The dedicated Stems controls allow for real-time isolation or removal of instrumental and vocal parts of a track, enabling dynamic mixing and mashups.
