Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your chafer:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Position the Frame: Place the chafer frame/stand on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit.
  3. Insert Fuel Holders: Place the two fuel holders into their designated slots beneath the chafer frame. Ensure they are securely seated. (Fuel canisters are sold separately and should be placed into these holders when ready for use).
  4. Place Water Pan: Carefully set the water pan into the chafer frame.
  5. Add Water: Pour hot water into the water pan, filling it to approximately one inch below the rim. Do not overfill.
  6. Insert Food Pan: Place the full-size food pan into the water pan. The food pan's handles are designed for easy placement and removal.
  7. Prepare Food: Fill the food pan with the pre-cooked, warm food you intend to serve.
  8. Position the Lid: Place the chafer lid onto the food pan. The lid features built-in clips to hold it in an open position for convenient serving and refilling.

For detailed assembly visuals, refer to the included Assembly Guide.

Operating Instructions

To effectively use your Winco Chafer for food service:

  1. Add Fuel: Once the chafer is assembled with food, carefully place lit chafer fuel canisters (not included) into the fuel holders beneath the water pan. Ensure proper ventilation.
  2. Maintain Temperature: The heat from the fuel will warm the water in the water pan, which in turn will keep the food in the food pan warm. Monitor the water level in the water pan periodically and replenish with hot water as needed to prevent it from boiling dry.
  3. Serving: When serving, use the lid's built-in clips to secure it in an open position, allowing guests or staff easy access to the food.
  4. Refilling: The food pan's reinforced handles facilitate easy removal and refilling of food. Always exercise caution when handling hot pans.
  5. Extinguishing Fuel: To extinguish the fuel, carefully place the cap back onto the fuel canister. Allow the chafer to cool completely before disassembling.

Safety Note: Always handle hot components with appropriate heat-resistant gloves. Never leave lit fuel unattended. Ensure the chafer is placed in a location away from flammable materials and out of reach of children.
