4. Setup and Installation

The Joy Pebble portable air conditioner is designed for quick and easy installation without the need for special tools. Follow these steps to set up your unit:

4.1 Choosing a Location

• Place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
• Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
• Position the unit near a window for exhaust hose installation and a grounded power outlet.

4.2 Window Kit Installation

The adjustable window kit is compatible with most standard vertical and horizontal sliding windows.

1. Assemble the Window Kit: Adjust the window kit panels to fit your window opening. Secure them together if necessary.
2. Install the Window Kit: Open your window and place the assembled window kit into the window frame. Close the window firmly against the kit to hold it in place.
3. Attach the Exhaust Hose: Twist one end of the exhaust hose onto the unit's exhaust outlet.
4. Connect to Window Kit: Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the window kit adapter, then insert the adapter into the opening in the window kit. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leakage.
5. Power Connection: Plug the unit into a grounded 120V power outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Your Joy Pebble portable air conditioner can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

5.1 Control Panel

The control panel features an LED display and intuitive buttons for mode selection, temperature adjustment, fan speed, and timer settings.

5.2 Remote Control

The full-function remote control allows you to operate the unit from a distance.

5.3 Operating Modes

• Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling. Set your desired temperature using the up/down arrows.
• Dry Mode (Dehumidify): Removes excess moisture from the air. The fan speed is automatically controlled in this mode.
• Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Select your preferred fan speed (Low, Medium, High).

5.4 Timer Function

The 24-hour timer allows you to program the unit to turn on or off automatically.

5.5 Sleep Mode

Activate Sleep Mode for quiet operation (below 53dB) during nighttime hours, ensuring a comfortable sleeping environment.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
2. Remove the air filter from the back of the unit.
3. Wash the filter with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

6.2 Draining Water

The unit features a self-evaporation system, but in high humidity conditions, excess water may accumulate. The unit will indicate when the water tank is full. You can use the provided water pipe for continuous drainage.

1. Unplug the unit.
2. Place a shallow pan or bucket under the drain outlet at the bottom rear of the unit.
3. Remove the drain plug. Water will flow out.
4. For continuous drainage, attach the water pipe to the drain outlet and direct the other end to a suitable drain.
5. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.

6.3 Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period:

• Drain all accumulated water.
• Clean the air filter.
• Run the unit in fan mode for a few hours to dry the interior.
• Cover the unit to protect it from dust.
• Store in a dry, cool place.
