4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Battery
- Connect the Auto PWR Jump charger to a standard power outlet.
- Slide the PWR CORE 40 battery into the charger until it clicks into place.

4.2 Installing the Battery
- Ensure the chainsaw is turned off and the chain brake is engaged.
- Align the charged battery with the battery port on the chainsaw.
- Slide the battery into the port until it locks securely into place.
4.3 Checking Chain Tension
Proper chain tension is crucial for safe and efficient operation. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled around by hand.
- Ensure the battery is removed for safety.
- Use the tool-less chain tensioning knob (if applicable) to adjust the chain. Turn clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen.
- Check that the drive links are seated in the guide bar groove and the chain can be moved freely.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting the Chainsaw
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- Disengage the chain brake by pulling the front hand guard back towards the front handle.
- Grip the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
- Press the safety lock-off button (if present) and then squeeze the trigger switch to start the motor.
5.2 Cutting Techniques
Always maintain a stable stance and keep the chainsaw below shoulder height. Allow the saw to do the work; do not force it through the cut.
- Felling: For cutting down trees, follow proper felling procedures and safety guidelines.
- Limbing: Remove branches from a fallen tree. Work from the bottom up, supporting the branch if necessary to prevent pinching.
- Bucking: Cut a fallen log into smaller sections. Be aware of potential rolling and pinching.
