5. Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by one 12V battery (included). When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have battery replacement performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.

Cleaning Your Watch

To clean your watch, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the case or strap. For the silicone strap, mild soap and water can be used.

Water Resistance (100M / 330FT)

Your Armitron Sport watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Do not operate the buttons while the watch is submerged in water, as this can compromise the water resistance.

  • Display is blank or dim: The battery may need replacement. Refer to the 'Battery Replacement' section.
  • Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though this model does not feature a lock). If issues persist, a battery reset (by a professional) might be needed.
  • Time is inaccurate: Re-set the time following the 'Setting Time and Date' instructions. If inaccuracy persists, the battery may be low or the watch may require servicing.
