3.1 Camera Installation

  1. Clean the desired area on your windshield thoroughly. Ensure it is free from dust and grease for optimal adhesion.

  3. Peel off the protective film from the 3M adhesive pad on the dash cam's mounting bracket.
  4. Firmly press the dash cam (with the adhesive pad) onto the electrostatic sticker. Hold for at least 30 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.

  6. Use the provided pry tool to neatly tuck the power cable along the edge of your windshield and dashboard, leading it to your car's cigarette lighter socket.
  7. Plug the car charger into the cigarette lighter socket. The dash cam will power on automatically when the vehicle starts.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Automatic Recording & Loop Recording

The V100 Dash Cam automatically begins recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on. It utilizes loop recording, which continuously records video in segments (e.g., 1, 2, or 3 minutes). When the SD card is full, the oldest unlocked footage is automatically overwritten by new recordings.

Figure 5: Loop Recording ensures continuous recording without manual intervention.

4.2 G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. In such an event, the dash cam automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures critical footage is preserved for evidence.

4.3 24H Parking Monitor & Time-Lapse Recording

For continuous surveillance when your car is parked, the V100 supports 24-hour parking monitoring. This feature requires an additional hardwire kit (not included) to provide constant power to the dash cam. When activated, the dash cam can record at 1 frame per second (fps) in Time-Lapse mode, compressing 30 minutes of video into 1 minute to save storage space while guarding your car.

5. Maintenance

5.1 SD Card Management

The V100 Dash Cam comes with a 32GB SD card. It supports up to a maximum of 256GB. To ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption, it is recommended to format the SD card regularly (e.g., once a month) using the option within the VeeCar app settings.
