4. Setup
4.1 SIM and TF Card Installation
To install your SIM cards and/or TF (microSD) card:
- Locate the SIM tray on the side of the phone.
- Insert the SIM ejector tool into the small hole next to the tray and press firmly until the tray pops out.
- Place your Nano-SIM cards and/or TF card into the designated slots on the tray. Ensure the gold contacts face downwards.
- Carefully push the tray back into the phone until it clicks into place.
4.2 Initial Power On
Press and hold the Power button (usually on the right side) for a few seconds until the FOSSiBOT logo appears. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, including language selection, Wi-Fi connection, and Google account setup.
4.3 Charging the Device
Connect the provided Type-C cable to the phone's charging port and the other end to the fast charger. Plug the charger into a power outlet. The phone supports 18W fast charging. A charging indicator will appear on the screen.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Operations
- Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power button. Select 'Power off' or 'Restart' from the menu.
- Screen Lock/Unlock: Briefly press the Power button to lock or unlock the screen.
- Volume Adjustment: Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the side of the phone.
- Navigation: Use on-screen gestures or navigation buttons (Home, Back, Recent Apps) as configured in Android 12.
5.2 Fingerprint and Face Unlock
For enhanced security, you can set up fingerprint and facial recognition:
- Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Fingerprint Unlock or Face Unlock.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to register your fingerprint(s) or face.
- Ensure good lighting for face unlock and clean the fingerprint sensor for optimal performance.

5.4 Speaker Usage
The F101's powerful 3.5W speaker delivers exceptional audio clarity and volume, reaching up to 123dB. This is ideal for outdoor use, noisy environments, or when you need to share audio loudly. Adjust volume using the side buttons.

5.5 Custom Button
The FOSSiBOT F101 features a customizable side button that can be assigned to various functions for quick access. You can configure it for single press, long press, or double press actions.
- Go to Settings > Smart Assistant > Custom Key.
- Select the desired action for each press type (e.g., SOS, Compass, Flashlight, Emergency Contact, Underwater Camera, GPS).

5.6 Connectivity
- Wi-Fi: Connect to wireless networks via Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi.
- Bluetooth: Pair with Bluetooth devices via Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth.
- GPS Navigation: The phone supports GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and Galileo for accurate location services.
- OTG (On-The-Go): Use an OTG cable to connect USB devices like flash drives or external keyboards.
