Setup Guide
1. SIM Card and Power
The Oculview Cellular Trail Camera operates using a 4G cellular signal. A SIM card is included with 300 MB of free data for initial use. The camera is powered by a built-in 10400mAh rechargeable battery, which is continuously charged by the included 6W solar panel.
This image illustrates the camera's cellular connectivity, emphasizing that it does not require Wi-Fi and comes with a SIM card compatible with major US carriers.
2. Mounting the Camera
The camera offers two primary mounting methods:
- Direct Mounting: Install the camera and solar panel directly together using the provided bracket and fix it to a desired surface.
- Separate Mounting: The camera and solar panel can be installed separately and connected via the power cable, offering more flexibility for optimal solar exposure.
The image demonstrates how the camera can be mounted directly to a tree with the solar panel attached, or the solar panel can be mounted separately for better sun exposure, connected by a power cable.
3. App Control
Control and monitor your camera using the dedicated mobile application. This app allows for live viewing, pan/tilt control, and receiving real-time notifications.
Operating Your Camera
Live View and Two-Way Talk
The camera features 355° pan, 100° tilt, and 4X digital zoom, providing 360° full coverage. You can access a live view of the camera's surroundings through the mobile application. The two-way talk function enables communication, allowing you to deter unwanted animals or individuals.

Maintenance
- Solar Panel: Ensure the solar panel is kept clean and free from obstructions (e.g., leaves, snow) to maximize charging efficiency.
- Battery: The camera is equipped with a 10400mAh rechargeable battery. While the solar panel provides continuous charging, monitor battery levels via the app, especially during prolonged periods of low sunlight.
- Waterproofing: The IP65 rating ensures protection against dust and water jets. Periodically check seals and connections for any signs of wear or damage to maintain its waterproof integrity.
- Lens Cleaning: Gently clean the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure optimal image clarity. Avoid abrasive materials.
