  • Ensure the shredder is in 'Auto' mode.
  • Insert up to 5 sheets of A4 paper (64g/m²) straight into the paper entry slot. The shredder will automatically start and stop once the paper has passed through.

  • Auto-Start: When the switch is in 'Auto' mode, the shredder's sensor detects paper insertion and automatically begins shredding, stopping once the paper has cleared. This conserves energy.
  • Reverse: If a paper jam occurs, slide the switch to the 'Reverse' position. This will reverse the shredding mechanism, helping to clear the jam. Pull the paper out carefully.

6.5. Overheat Protection

Figure 6.4: The shredder is equipped with overheat protection and an automatic power cut-off for safety.

The shredder is equipped with an overheat protection system. If the motor temperature rises too high (e.g., after continuous shredding for more than 4 minutes), the shredder will automatically shut off, and the Overheat indicator light will turn red. Allow the shredder to cool down for approximately 30 minutes before resuming operation. Do not attempt to force the shredder to operate while it is in overheat protection mode.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Emptying the Waste Bin

Regularly check the transparent window on the waste bin. When the shredded material reaches approximately 2/3 of the bin's capacity, it is recommended to empty it to prevent jams and ensure optimal performance.

  1. Ensure the shredder is turned 'Off' and unplugged.
  2. Lift the shredding head using the integrated handle.
  3. Carefully remove the waste bin and dispose of the shredded contents.
  4. Replace the waste bin and securely place the shredding head back on top.

7.2. Cleaning the Shredder

  • Always unplug the shredder before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the shredder with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Periodically clean the paper entry slot and the cutting blades using a soft brush or a specialized shredder cleaning sheet (not included).
