Maintenance
1. Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean your mouse. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the internal components. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
2. Battery Replacement
When the mouse performance degrades or it stops responding, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section. Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
Troubleshooting
Mouse Not Responding:
- Ensure the mouse is powered on.
- Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Verify the USB dongle is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer. Try a different USB port.
- Move the mouse closer to the USB dongle to ensure it's within the 30-foot operating range.
- Restart your computer.
Erratic Cursor Movement:
- Clean the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse with a soft, dry cloth.
- Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface. Avoid highly reflective or transparent surfaces. A mouse pad is recommended.
- Check for interference from other wireless devices.
DPI Indicator Light Not Changing:
- Press the DPI switch button firmly. If the issue persists, ensure batteries are fresh.
